The next day was our flight to Chicago. Early in the morning Tony came and knocked or banged on my door to get me out of bed to get ready for this ridiculous trip.

"Outta bed sleepy head! Flight leaves in two hours! Get up get up!!!" He yelled from outside my door.

"Alright Tony! Shut up!" I yelled back.

"Not shut up! Get up!" He yelled back and headed down the hall to bang on Joey's door to get him up.

"Lets go lets go! Times a wastin! Get up and get movin!"

"I'm up Tony! Stop yelling at me!" I heard Joey holler from his room.

My little brother! Never afraid to tell Tony to check himself. Daddy was really beginning to rub off on him after all! After showering and getting dressed into something comfortable I went downstairs for breakfast meeting Joey at the bottom. He didn't look so happy.

"Hey buddy! Why the face?" I asked him patting him on his head scruffing up his blonde locks.

"Tony. That's why." He grunted.

Joey was so upset that he had to be up before sunrise that he was just a grumpy little kid that loved getting his sleep.

"I thought you couldn't wait to get up early and get on the plane." I asked him with a smile hoping to brighten his mood a little.

"I was until Tony starting acting like a crazy person at my room door." He said angrily.

"Well maybe some pancakes will make you feel better huh?"

"Or maybe Tony acting like a normal person would make me feel better."

I giggled out loud and Joey wasn't at all amused.

"Come on kid! Let's go have breakfast and get outta here. It just might be fun!" I said as convincing as possible.

"Says the one who didn't wanna go because you didn't wanna leave your boyfriend."

"Hey! That's not why I don't wanna go."

"Oh yeah? Then why don't you?"

I couldn't think of another legitimate reason as to why I didn't want to go away on this trip so I might as well not dare try to argue with a seven year old.

"Alright. You caught me. Tre was the reason why I didn't want to go. BUT! Look at the bright side. We're gonna be together and we'll make it fun even if I don't think it will be."

Joey looked at me with an unenthused face and rolled his eyes.

"Carly you can be such a teenage girl sometimes." He scoffed stomping his way to the kitchen.

It took me about a second for the offense to kick in.

"Pretty soon you're gonna be a teenager too ya know!" I hissed back at him playfully.

Following him into the kitchen the smell of food cooking nearly made my stomach do back flips. I guess skipping dinner wasn't such a great idea but since the cooking staff was sent home for the next few months with pay I take it daddy must be making omelettes and toast.

"Ahhhh I can smell those eggs now! Even if they do come from a carton they're still amazing!" I giggled rounding the corner and stepping into the kitchen.

"Good morning daddy dear!" I announced making my way to the counter and stealing a few strawberries from a plate.

"Carlyn. Good morning. You seem to be in a better mood." He said flipping an omelette on the skillet.
