Tutorials

There will be occasional cover tutorials. Below are the apps I use to make covers:

Aviary (Free)
I use this for adding contrast and saturating, etc, cause I feel this is the best app for it (when I use PicsArt it changes the picture quality). If you sign up for an Adobe account, you get stickers, filters and overlays for free. I use their sticker a lot!

Phonto (Free)
I use this for the text on the cover. The good thing about Phonto is that you can download and install fonts. There's a later chapter that explains how to do this.

PicsArt (Free)
This is where all the assembling comes together. There's also really good stickers, textures and effects.

SplitPic Pro ($1.99)
This app is super good if you want to blend pictures together so that they transition into each other nicely. I bought this app, but there is a free version, but obviously a few elements will be missing. I don't think, you'll be highly affected, anyway. There's also some really nice stickers here.

Afterlight ($0.99)
The textures here are really good, so that's what I use it for.

Superimpose ($1.99)
This app is honestly so helpful. I find it really hard trying to blend in PicsArt, so I use Superimpose instead, but not having it won't be a train smash, don't worry. Assembling can also be done here.

We Heart It (Free)
This is the best place to get your backgrounds from.

Google (Free)
Anything we can't find in We Heart It, we find from Google. I use this primarily to get the resources I need to make covers.

Covers (Free)
This app is Wattpad's official covers app. You can make super basic covers on here. I legit don't know the dimensions of the covers, so I use this app to crop pictures to the right size before I start working. It's also a good place to store all your covers.
