Mason P.O.V

When I was 12 my parents threw me and Sunshine a surprise party with the characters from the justice league coming to visit us it was like for a moment we were a happy family I will never forget those memories. I never smiled so much in my life.

That was the same feeling I got after Moana said yes to being my girlfriend. It was like a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulder. We been hanging out every day and it's safe to say I think I'm slowly falling in love with her.

"Say cheese", said Moana

"Gosh Angel why did you have to put it in my face"

"Sorry babe you were smiling which is very rare"

Since Moana has found a new passion for photography she hasn't stop taking pictures with the new camera I got her for her birthday.

"Well if you wouldn't say stupid things I wouldn't have to smile less"

"Mason, is it me or you sound at war with yourself"

"Whatever are you ready to go"

"Yes more than ever"

Today marks the anniversary of the day Sunshine committed suicide. Every year we go to the cemetery and release balloons in her honor then we go back to my parents house to eat a big dinner. This year at least for me I will not be spending it alone.

"We got this", said Moana

"And don't you forget it"

We finally arrived at the cemetery 10 minutes late. "I told you not to kiss me", said Moana. I gave her one kiss then things went further if you know what I mean.

"How was I suppose to know that you would tackle me"

"Uggghhh let's not talk about this to anyone"

We walk fastly inside the church hoping no one would see us but Moana being the clumsy girl that she is tripped on her high heel and brought me down along with her everyone in the church turn around and stared at us even my parents and Maya who looked liked they were about to burst out laughing. I was trying extra hard to take the attention off of us.

"May she Rest In Peace ",I said before taking Moana's hand and fast walking to the front were my parents and Maya were sitting.

"Where you guys", said my whispering mom

"Their was a lot of traffic"

"Boy you know you a lie. All I'm saying is that no babies better be popping up"

"MOM", I whispered screamed

"What you know it's true"

Sunshine's anniversary went by surprising fast. I guess when you have someone with you they take some of the pain with you. You know how every time you visit the aunts and uncles they want to hug you and squeeze your cheeks and ask questions about your personal life well that same cliche thing happened . They would say how sorry they are for my lost and ask is Moana my girlfriend. Of course I said yes but the look on the faces said pure disgust. They hated the fact that I was dating a black girl but being me I did not care.
