"Liam, I'm telling you, we shouldn't tell her," Niall said, crossing his arms over his chest, "She'll lose her shit, and it's going to be ugly. And I don't really want to deal with that."
"We should tell her," Louis said, "She has every right to know that we aren't looking into the deaths anymore. She has a right to know we've stopped retaliation plans. Liam, you know that she has a right to this information as part of our crew, and as your sister. "
"It's going to hurt her," Zayn said, "I say we keep our mouths shut, let her think we're still looking, and if anything comes up ... she'll never know the difference. It's better then hurting her."
Liam sighed, taking in the opinions of his friends. He had decided to stop looking for the killer of his parents. He was using too many resources and too many men to find someone who couldn't be found. He figured if they stepped back, then maybe whoever it was would feel more comfortable to step out again. If not, if this guy had actually disappeared for good, Liam didn't see any point in trying to find him, he felt it best for everyone to just move on. Nothing he did was going to bring his parents back, but he wasn't sure Sofia was going to see it that way.
"Harry?" Liam asked, looking over at his friend.
"I think if we keep it from her, and she finds out from someone else," Harry said quietly, "It could be a disaster. I agree with Lou, she deserves to know. And yeah, she might lose her shit, but ... that doesn't mean she doesn't deserve to kn –"
The door swung open to Liam's office and Sofia stood, looking pale and frazzled, looking around the room.
"Ever heard of knocking?" Liam asked, when Sofia's eyes landed on him she let out a quiet sigh of relief, "I don't want you just walking into places, knock first."
"Sorry," she said quietly, taking the other four boys in. The apology through Liam off guard, causing him to look up in surprise.
"Where are Danielle and Eleanor?" Sofia asked, her words rushed.
"Grocery shopping," Liam answered, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah... um... by themselves?" Sofia asked
"They took Andy," Liam said, standing up from his desk, "What's the matter with you?"
"Nothing," Sofia said, shaking her head, and turning from the office, "Just hungry, I wanted to see if they would cook me something."
"You have two hands," Zayn snapped, "They aren't your private chefs. Cook something yourself."
"Oh are you speaking to me now?" Sofia snapped back, before walking from the office, leaving the five boys behind.
"Something's up," Louis said, standing up and following her out.
As Sofia was walking into the kitchen, Danielle and Eleanor were coming in the back door, Sofia let out another sigh of relief, this one more obvious then the last, before she threw herself into a kitchen chair, rubbing her face with her hands.
"What is the matter with you?" Louis asked.
"I just have this feeling," Sofia said, looking up at him. She had gotten used to the boys presence in the house, she was feeling less aggressive towards them.
"You have feelings?" Niall asked, chuckling at his own joke as Eleanor punched his shoulder lightly.
"Mostly ones about how much you fucking annoying me," Sofia snapped, before growing serious, "I think I had a bad dream last night, maybe that's it."
"Well what's the feeling?" Liam asked.
"It's just a bad one, I can't explain it, like... something bad is going to happen," Sofia said.
"Maybe you just need some tea and food," Danielle said, "A rough nights sleep can do that to you, let's just get you ready for today. I'm sure you'll be feeling better in no time."
"We have to talk about something," Liam said, "After your done eating."
"Maybe you weren't so off about your feeling," Harry said, as he stared out the window, before looking back at everyone, "cops are here."
Liam jumped up, going to the window, only to see two police cars pull up into his driveway.
"We gotta stop leaving the gates open," Liam mumbled, sending a quick glare to Louis who had gone for a run earlier. Louis shrugged a response in return, trying to look sorry.
"What do you think they want?" Danielle asked, her voice nervous.
"It's the captain," Zayn said, "We're in good with him, pay him a lot, he's probably not here for trouble."
"Everyone just act normal," Liam said, "I don't need them seeing that we're freaked out."
A loud knock came from the back door, and Liam moved to answer it. Swinging it open, he found the chief of police, and two of his partners.
"Little early for a visit, isn't it?" Liam asked
"We got a problem," the chief said, "may I come in?"
"I'd rather you didn't," Liam said, "Unless you have a warrant."
"This isn't a search," he replied, "Let's call it a friendly conversation."
"You don't look to friendly pulling up with two squad cars," Liam argued, raising his eyebrows.
"You're going to want to hear this, please let me in," the chief said.
"Fine, make it quick," Liam said, moving to the side and letting the 3 men in. Liam closed the door behind them, as Danielle rushed to get tea ready.
"Sorry to barge in like this, but have you watched the news today?" the chief asked.
"No, Davis, I haven't," Liam responded, his eyebrows raised in skepticism.
"Your weapons warehouse got blown up this morning, the 3 guards you have keeping post, throats slit," Chief Davis said, causing everyone in the kitchen to go rigid.
"What?" Liam hissed, his voice low, "The weapons?"
"Blown to pieces, now because it's outside of town and none of the weapons have serial codes, it won't get turned back to you," Davis explained.
"Fuck," Liam growled, turning to Louis, "Let people know, I want the surplus opened up and shipped, we have a history with our customers, so tell them orders will be a week late, but they'll get them. And then get the IRA and tell them to double our last order."
"How do you want to pay?" Louis asked, pulling out his phone.
"Take it from an off shore account, I don't want this shit coming back to us. The media is going to be all over this god damn explosion," Liam said, before turning back to Davis, "Is that all you wanted Chief? Because I need to get on this."
"Not exactly, Liam," the Chief said, before pulling out paper, "This was pinned to one of the trees by the warehouse, one of my boys found it."
Liam pulled the note from the chief's hand, looking down at it, before his eyes narrowed, and he let out a sigh.
"Coming for you," he read, "Consider this a declaration of war."
"Not signed," the Chief said, as everyone in the kitchen began to mumble,
"No evidence, nothing."
"We knew this would happen," Liam said, "We're a target now. Don't get too worked up, we'll handle it."
"You don't even know who is it is!" the chief barked, "I let you get away with an awful lot in this town, Payne. But I will not allow a gang war to break out over this, do you understand me?!"
"YOU don't let me get away with shit," Liam hissed, stepping up to the police chief, "I own your ass, just like I own the local government, and the rest of this God damn town."
"Liam, we don't need him bringing you in on bullshit charges," Niall said, stepping up and pulling Liam back, "Don't hit him, okay?"
"Get out of my house, Davis," Liam growled.
"Take care of this," Davis barked, "Before I figure out a way to shut all of it down."
"Are you threatening me?" Liam yelled, stepping back up to him, only to have Niall grab him again.
"I don't want a gang war on my streets!" Davis yelled
"I'll have a gang war anywhere I fucking want. They're MY STREETS," Liam yelled back
"We'll handle it," Zayn growled to Davis.
"Oh, we found these too," Davis said, shoving pictures into Liam's hand,
"Might be the next target."
"Get. Out." Liam hissed him before looking down at the pictures. Davis turned, walking from the house while he still could. Liam stared at the pictures.
They were pictures of the dock where they brought in their drugs. Liam closed his eyes in frustration.
"Weapons and drugs," Sofia said, staring at the pictures, "We should probably move everything."
"Get on it," Liam barked at Zayn, before turning to Niall, "Go see Belfie. Ask him if he knows anything, and gently remind him that IF this was him or IF he's helping someone, I'll kill every single one of them."
"You got it," Niall said.
"Liam, what is going on?" Danielle asked, her eyes wide and her voice panicked.
"Nothing," Liam said, "It's probably just a bunch of smoke. I'll handle it."
"Don't lie to her," Sofia growled at her brother, as he glared back, "You
know better. She could be a serious target."
"No one is a target in this fucking family," Liam barked, "Don't scare people!"
"I'm trying to scare anyone, I'm trying to prepare them," Sofia hissed, before turning to Danielle, "This isn't nothing. Someone is declaring war. Someone wants us shut down."
"Enough, Sofia!" Liam barked, "Danielle, follow me... I need you to start getting in contact with everyone. We need a meeting immediately."
"What should I do?" Eleanor asked.
"Start getting food ready," Harry said, as he was left alone, "People are going to be coming and going."
"Someone should check in at the clubs," Sofia said, "If they're watching our illegal business, you can be certain they're watching our straight business."
"So much for your feelings being off," Harry said, looking down at her.
"It ain't easy being King," Sofia said, before leaving the kitchen to find her brother.

"We managed to get people on the surplus, it should take them about a week to get everything here and set up, but for the most part, customers are willing to wait," Louis said.
"And those who aren't?" Liam growled
"I'll take care of it," Louis said, with a grin, "You know me, I can be very convincing when I want to be."
"I know you can," Liam said, "And the drugs?"
"They're gonna head to the South docks from now on," Zayn said, "And be on the look out for any cameras."
"Good," Liam said, "And Belfie?"
"Said it wasn't him," Niall said, "But uh, he's looking into some of his guys, see if they know anything. Said he'll get back to us."
"He's got 24 hours, before we go back there," Liam growled, "And if you have to go back there, don't make it a friendly visit."
"Understood," Niall agreed.
"Sofia," Liam said, turning to his sister, who was picking at her nails, "Look, you're off jobs right now. I need you to be a typical teenager, and I need you to lay low. When we figure this shit out, we're going to need you, and you're going to have to look like you're not a threat."
"Okay," Sofia agreed, causing Liam to narrow his eyes in suspicion.
"Okay? You're just going to agree to go off the job? No arguments?" Liam asked.
"It's a good plan, I don't argue with good plans," Sofia said, "I'm going to have to look like I don't know shit, and if they're watching us, they're going to catch on to who's baiting and who's just around. Speaking of being a teenager – there's a party tonight... there's nothing more teenager then that..."
"Be home by 12," Liam said, narrowing his eyes.
"12?" Sofia asked, skeptically.
"Don't come home a second later," Liam said, "And don't come home smashed."
"You're no fun," Sofia said.
"Exactly," Liam said, before sighing deeply, "What do you think about this warehouse attack?"
"You want my ideas?" Sofia asked
"I know we haven't gotten along lately, but I'm not stupid," Liam said, "I know you know your shit."
"If these guys really wanted to hurt our income, they would've gone for surplus, or for our dealers. That tells me that they don't much, they know the obvious. And if they really felt like they could take us in a fight, they would've gone for the clubs; they would've made themselves well known. This seems, obvious, almost desperate. They're making just enough noise, trying to freak us out. But, uh, if we show them that we're freaked, they'll be more careful in their attacks. I think if we need to show this attack didn't get to us, they'll be less careful, maybe even more obvious... make mistake. And uh, if you make mistakes –"
"You get caught," Liam finished, "Well, we must be siblings, because we're on the same page."
"So what's the game plan?" Niall growled, "We just pretend this didn't happen, see if they attack again?"
"Yeah, I mean, we can't act spooked," Liam said, shrugging.
"We can't be stupid either," Louis argued.
"Louis, we need to give these guys the upper hand, they didn't leave shit," Zayn said, "We need to see if they attack again."
"Yeah, but, they're right," Sofia said, "Desperate makes for stupid moves. They won't think shit through, they'll grab at anything. Including people they don't anything. They won't be able to get to us, but they'll go for lower level people. People that don't know how to protect themselves. Louis is right, we can't be stupid. We have to protect them, Liam. We should lay low and keep up an act, but we still have to protect them. They need to know."
"She's right," Harry said, "They aren't thinking straight, they're just trying to get to the top. Who knows who could become collateral damage? We have to protect the people we promised we would."
"Alright," Liam agreed, "I want everyone to be on the lookout. No one goes out alone. And I want the necessary people armed at all times, but tell them not to be stupid about being armed. The police are on this and they're fucking spooked, and I don't need any of our guys getting pulled in on bullshit illegal weapon charges that would pull in higher law enforcement."
"Got it," Louis agreed.
"Also, tell Danielle and Eleanor to get ready for the gym," Liam said, "They won't be by themselves, but uh, I want to refresh their memories on self defense."
"Got it," Louis agreed again.
"The rest of you, find something useful to do until we go to the gym," Liam said, "I have to talk to Sofia."
The boys got up and left the office, leaving Sofia wondering what was going on, as she stared at her brother.
"You're getting good at this whole being boss thing," Sofia said as the door closed.
"Thanks," Liam said, "I have to tell you something."
"What's up?" Sofia asked
"I pulled everyone off looking for mom and dads hit man," Liam said, keeping his eyes on his sister.
"You did what?" Sofia snapped, her nostrils flaring in anger.
"We were wasting resources and getting nowhere," Liam said, "And with this new shit we have going on, I don't need shit spread too thin."
"What if it's the same people?" Sofia barked, even though her gut told her it wasn't.
"Then I guess we'll find out," Liam said, "But until something comes up that will point us in a direction of whoever did it, everyone is off of it."
"What about retaliation?" Sofia hissed, "You owe mom and dad that."
"And I will give it to them if we ever find this guy," Liam growled, "But we've been on this and have gotten nothing. The best thing we can do right now is move on and make closure with this."
"You want me to make closure with something that I'm not getting closure on?" Sofia asked, blinking a few times, as she glared at her brother.
"I want you to do your best," Liam said, leaning forward, "And I also don't want you looking into it yourself."
"What makes you think I would do that?" Sofia asked
"I'm your brother, I know you Sofia," Liam said, "But whoever did this is dangerous, and you can't take whoever it is on yourself, I promise you that. So don't look into it, and let it go. If I find out that you are looking into it, I will personally send you to boarding school."
"Are you joking?" Sofia asked
"Not in the least," Liam growled, "I mean it. Let it go, and don't look into it. I'm not burying someone else in my family."
"Think I'd lose?" Sofia asked
"I think this one isn't about losing or winning," Liam said, "It's about survival."
"I don't agree with this, at all," Sofia hissed.
"I don't care, I made the call," Liam growled, "Are we understood?"
"Fuck you, Liam," Sofia barked, standing up.
"What did you just say to me?" Liam barked back, standing up, "Don't be stupid, I'm still your boss."
"I wasn't saying that to you as my boss," Sofia growled, "I was saying it to you as my brother."
Before Liam could respond, Sofia had turned and exited the office, leaving Liam sighing deeply behind her. With his head in his hands, rubbing his face in frustration, he didn't even hear Harry come in.
"How'd it go?" Harry asked.
"Just keep an eye out," Liam said, "And don't let her go up against Zayn at the gym. They'll kill each other right now."
"You got it brother," Harry agreed.
***
"What are you doing here?" Sofia asked Isaac as he walked up to her at the gym.
"Dad sent James to talk to your brother, I'm here for back up," Isaac said.
"Your back up?" Sofia scoffed, looking up at him as she took a sip of her water bottle, "What's with the shiner?"
"Disagreement with dad," Isaac said quietly, "You know how it goes."
"Eh, wish Liam punched me, probably would've felt better," Sofia said.
"What happened?" Isaac asked
"Called off the search for my parents hit man," Sofia said.
"Shit," Isaac growled, "Fuck, I'm sorry."
"He's the boss," Sofia said, shrugging.
"Let's just take off, run away, get the fuck away from these people," Isaac said, shaking his head.
"Careful Isaac, before you get us shot," Sofia said, looking around to see Zayn watching them carefully.
"You talking to him yet?" Isaac asked
"He's not talking to me," Sofia said, "There's a difference."
"Pissed he's fucking Perrie?" Isaac asked
"I don't give a shit who Zayn fucks," Sofia growled, "Just like he shouldn't care who I'm fucking." Isaac snorted, shaking his head at her.
"You going to Vanessa's party tonight?" Isaac asked.
"Yeah," Sofia said, but her eyes were on the matt where Danielle was training with someone.
"It should be fun," Isaac said, "We should –"
"What the fuck is this?" Sofia growled, interrupting him, as she watched Danielle get knocked into the ring, but the trained didn't back off, Sofia looked around to see all the boys busy in a conversation with James, but Eleanor looked concerned.
"Shit," Isaac hissed, as Danielle got hit.
"Fuck this," Sofia growled, running towards the matt, and jumping on it.
"Back off her," Sofia yelled.
"Get off my matt," the trainer said, before turning back to Danielle, who had worked her way out of the corner, but he was too fast, grabbed her wrist, causing Danielle to cry out.
"I said back the fuck up," Sofia yelled, grabbing the man, she got in the middle of him and Danielle
"Back off man," Sofia barked, he wasn't expecting another person, so he swung on instinct, knocking Sofia, who wasn't protected back.
"Fuck," Sofia hissed, before pummeling into the man, and knocking him on the floor, before slamming her fist into his face.
Soon someone was pulling up Sofia, and people were yelling all around her.
"What the fuck is going on?" Liam barked, looking at his sister, whose mouth was bleeding. Sofia realized that it was Zayn who yanked her up.
"What is going on?" Sofia screeched, "This asshole was practically attacking Danielle!"
"I was training her!" the man barked back.
"Sofia, God damnit!" Liam barked, turning to his sister angry.
"No Liam," Harry said, stepping in the middle of them, "Look at Danielle."
Liam looked over to a clearly shaken Danielle, who was holding up her wrist, which was bruising.
"What the fuck man?" Liam growled, before walking over to Danielle.
"It was an accident," the man said, shrugging.
"It was asshole move, and you're a fucking bully," Sofia snapped, "You wanna prove you're a man and have a fucking dick? Fight someone who can take you, jackass. Don't pick on someone you're trying to train in self defense."
"Fuck you, bitch," the man growled, stepping forward, but not before Louis stepped in between them.
"What did you just say?" Louis hissed, as Zayn pulled Sofia back.
"I just meant –"
"Get the fuck out of our gym," Louis growled, "And if I ever see you around again, I'll kill you."
"Louis, I've been here for over a year –"
"And now you're not," Liam barked, "Now get the fuck out before I kill you right now."
"You okay? Zayn asked Sofia, turning her and touching her lip.
"Fine," Sofia hissed, pulling her face away, before looking up at him, "Why'd you jump in?"
"If anyone's going to beat you up," Zayn joked, "It's going to be me."
"I can agree to that," Sofia said, "Truce?"
"Truce," Zayn agreed, before Louis pulled him away to escort the ex-trainer out of the gym.
"You know, between worrying about everyone this morning, and jumping into save Daniele," Harry said, walking over to Sofia, "One would think you care. Protecting the family or something."
"Protecting my gang," Sofia argued, "It's a natural instinct to protect my gang."
"Why don't you like to show that you care?" Harry asked.
"I care about staying on top," Sofia said, "And if Danielle got hurt, Liam's head wouldn't be in the game."
"You looked relieved when you saw we were all safe this morning, despite your dream," Harry argued.
"Yeah, relief that my gang was still in tact."
"Whatever you say, Sofia," Harry said, shaking his head.
"You know, every time I talk to you, it's more like a therapy session," Sofia growled, "Kinda getting old."
"You know, maybe if you participated in the conversation instead of blocking me out, you wouldn't think that."
"You want me to talk?" Sofia asked
"Yeah," Harry said.
"Get creative," Sofia said, "You keep trying these random conversations, and it's not you anywhere. Try a different approach."
"If I try something different, you'll talk?" Harry asked
"It's really hard to catch me off guard, or to surprise me," Sofia said, "I'm the queen of surprises and tricks. But uh, if you trick me, catch me off guard, who knows what I'll spill..."
"Noted," Harry said, nodding, his brain going into overdrive.
***
"It's 1:30," Liam growled, staring at the clock.
"Do you know where the party is?" Zayn asked, "We can just go get her..."
"I didn't ask," Liam said, shrugging, "I was hoping we would make some progress."
"Yeah, new rule," Danielle said, her voice anxious, "Who, what, where, when, and why."
"Got it," Liam said.
"I'm sure she's fine," Niall said, "Trying to push buttons."
"What if she isn't?" Liam asked.
"I'm worried, Liam," Danielle said, "We should just go out and look for her."
"She's right," Harry said, "Especially with everything going on, let's go drag her ass back home..."
"Hold up, I see a car," Louis said, looking out the window, causing Liam and Danielle to stand up and rush over.
"Shit," Liam hissed, as he realized that Emily and Katie were trying to pull a slumped over Sofia from the car. Moving towards the door, he rushed out to the driveway, with everyone behind him.
"What happened?" Louis barked at Sean, who had been driving, as Liam pulled his sister from Emily and Katie, she was wet.
"Sofia," Liam barked at her, but when she looked up at him, he could see that she was totally incoherent.
"We found her blacked out," Sean said, "She drank a lot."
"This isn't just alcohol," Liam growled, as he grabbed his sisters chin, and looking into her dilated, blood shot eyes.
"Stop," she moaned, pulling away, her head heavy and falling, and her eyes closing.
"Yeah," Katie agreed, "People said they saw her smoking."
"Weed?" Zayn asked
"There was a lot a drugs at the house," Emily said, "We don't know what she got into..."
"She was on a bedroom floor," Sean said, shaking his head, "Totally blacked out. We put her in a shower, we freaked out."
"She can barely talk," Emily said, "But uh, she was crying a bit..."
"She was crying??" Louis barked, "Is she hurt?"
"No," Katie said, shaking her head, "We checked. She was clothed, no injuries, just completely fucked."
"Why was she by herself?" Harry asked, glaring at the 3 of them.
"She's not exactly easy to keep track of," Emily said, "The minute she got there – getting fucked up was her end goal..."
"Of course it was," Harry hissed, before turning to Liam, who was picking Sofia up bridal style.
Liam refused any help from anyone as he carried Sofia up the stairs. He undressed her and dried her off, before dressing her in comfortable clothing. Sofia remained asleep through out it all, as Liam put her into bed.
"God damn Sofia," Liam mumbled, before moving to the other side of the bed and lying down next to her. He wasn't going to leave her, the anxiety filling him. He didn't know what was in her system, or how much of what she had done.
"You okay?" Danielle asked, opening the door to Sofia's room with a glass of water.
"No," Liam answered quietly, as he stared at his sister, "No, I'm not okay. This is far from okay."
"Move over," Danielle said, nudging her husband.
"You don't have to stay," Liam said.
"Move over," Danielle repeated, and Liam moved over, as Danielle crawled next to him.
***
Her head felt like an elephant sat on it, as Sofia walked into her brother's office. Liam was leaning against his desk, and his eyes narrowed in anger as she walked in. Sofia didn't say anything, standing there, as Liam glared.
"I told you not to be later then 12 yesterday," Liam said, "And I told you not to come home smashed."
"Yeah, I know," Sofia said, "I lost track of time..."
"You lost track of everything," Liam growled, "You were completely blacked out, Sofia!"
"It was a wild party," Sofia said, shrugging. She had no remorse or regret, she didn't think she did anything wrong.
"How much did you drink?" Liam asked
"I don't know," Sofia said, shaking her head.
"Smoke?" Liam asked
"A few bongs," Sofia admitted.
"Did you take anything?" Liam asked her, his voice calm, not taking his eyes off her.
"No..." Sofia said, but Liam knew she was lying.
"Don't lie to me," Liam growled, "Don't make this worse, don't make this worse for yourself."
"I snorted some Adderall in the beginning of the night," Sofia admitted, "Just to give me an oomph."
"Yeah, well, pushed you right over the edge, didn't it?" Liam growled.
"May have, yeah," Sofia said, "So what? You gonna ground me?"
"Like that'll get through to you, like that will make a fucking difference,"
Liam barked, "No, Sofia. You break my rules from now on, and put yourself in danger; there will be immediate consequences that you're going to regret. See this desk? Bend over it."
"Are you kidding me?" Sofia barked, laughing, "You're fucking kidding. I'm not a fucking 5 year old."
"Sofia," Liam growled, removing his belt, stepping towards his sister, "I'm not kidding. I told you I wasn't being metaphorical when I told you I'd whip your ass into shape. Maybe this will get through to you. Don't want to be treated like a five year old, stop acting like one. "
Sofia tried to pull away from him, but Liam was too strong, pulling her to the desk, and pushing her over. She kicked her legs and struggled against him, but Liam was determined, holding her down. He swung, causing her to cry out loudly.
"Fuck Liam!" she cried out as he swung again. Liam swung again, causing her to yell again. Soon, he could hear the tears in her voice, and she stopped kicking her legs.
"Okay! Okay!" Sofia cried out, no longer fighting as Liam brought the belt down again, "I get it! I get it! Stop! Ow! Fuck!"
"Do you get it?!" Liam barked, stepping back from her, Sofia stood from the desk, tears running down her face.
"Yeah, I get that you're pissed!" Sofia hissed, pain in her ass, and embarrassed from crying.
"Pissed?!" Liam barked, grabbing her shoulders, and shaking her, "No, I was fucking terrified and worried. This isn't because I'm angry. This is happening because you need consequences when you put yourself in danger. You have no regards to your safety, and from now on, every time you put yourself in danger, you'll be right back here! THIS wasn't about me! THIS was about you! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!"
"Yes," Sofia growled, stepping back from him, eyes wide. Her father only ever acted out of anger, Liam acted out of fear. Her father hit her because he needed to react, Liam hit her to teach her. Sofia didn't know what to do. She wasn't used to anyone caring.
"I know you used to go unnoticed," Liam said quietly , like he was reading her mind, "Not coming home, or coming home smashed. It's not going to go unnoticed anymore."
"I don't need you to look out for me," Sofia growled, "I've been just fine on my own!"
"I care!" Liam barked at her, "Don't you get that?!"
"STOP CARING SO MUCH!" Sofia screamed, not even noticing that Harry had walked into the office, "YOU'RE DRIVING ME CRAZY!"
"YEAH WELL IT GOES BOTH WAYS!" Liam screamed back, before sighing loudly and collecting himself, "You're training with Harry today. Get out of my sight."
"No problem," Sofia growled.
"Watch it Sofia," Liam growled, "Before we go round 2, I promise you're your not going to win today."
She rolled her eyes at him, turning, trying to push past Harry, who grabbed her.
"He's just trying to look out for you," Harry said, "Try being grateful you have someone who cares..."
"Fuck off," Sofia hissed, pushing him away and storming out.
"She's so lucky she's not my sister," Harry growled, "I'd kill her. You alright?"
"I never want to do that again," Liam answered honestly, "I promised I would never hit her like my dad..."
"What just happened here, wasn't anything like your dad," Harry said, "You did the right thing. And chances are, you're going to have to do it again."
"Just keep her out for awhile," Liam growled, "I can't look at her right now."
"Our training is going to take all day today," Harry said, before he turned around.
***
Sofia didn't say anything as Harry got in the car and began to drive. She stared out the window, staring blankly.
"Give me your phone," Harry said, looking over.
"Why?" Sofia asked
"No phone today, Liam's orders," Harry lied smoothly. Sofia sighed loudly,
and rolled her eyes.
"Him beating me wasn't enough..." Sofia growled.
"He didn't beat you," Harry growled back, "You deserved that. You didn't see his face when you got pulled out of the car. Lucky it wasn't me."
"Is that what you're into Harry?" Sofia growled seductively, leaning towards him, "Did you wanna bend me over?"
"Give me your phone," Harry barked, not playing into her game, or getting distracted by the image she put in his head. Sofia let annoyed huff, but handed over her phone.
