"Sofia!" Liam said loudly, for a 3rd time, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"What?" she said, looking up surprised.

"The waiter would like to know your order," he said, looking at her with a curious face. She had been very quiet since she had showed up for dinner. She made no comments about Perrie being there with Zayn, she didn't say anything biting when Niall dropped the bread basket, she didn't even seem to notice when Danielle poured her a glass of white wine.

"Oh, right," Sofia said, glancing down at the menu she hadn't even opened. She tried to ignore Harry's piercing stare, and Louis looking at her like he knew something she didn't. She looked up at the waiter who was looking at her like she was a little bit slow.

"Um," she said quietly, "uh... do you have Cobb salad?"

"Yes," the waiter said, his small smirk showed he was amused by her hesitance.

"I'll take that," Sofia said, watching as the waiter wrote it down before walking from the table.

"What is the matter with you tonight?" Zayn asked, his arm around Perrie, who Sofia seemed to just notice as her eyes slid over to them.

"What?" Sofia asked, still not really in the moment.

"Are you even here right now?" Zayn asked, his eyebrows scrunched as he tried to figure out what was going on.

"I'm fine, I just..." Sofia said, trying to think of an excuse for her odd behavior, "I have to pee."

She got up quickly from her seating, walking quickly away from the table, and towards the bathroom, leaving everyone feeling very confused.

"Anyone have any ideas about what the hell that is all about?" Liam asked, looking around the table.

"Oh yeah," Niall said sarcastically, "Got tons of ideas about why your sister is acting crazier then usual."

"She seems distracted," Eleanor said, looking at Louis, "How was she when you went to find her?"

"Fine," Louis said, not wanting to inform every one of his suspicions that Sofia was hiding something, "I'll go talk to her."

"Maybe I should," Harry suggested.

"I don't think so, let me do this," Louis said, standing up and walking towards the bathrooms where Sofia had disappeared to.

Walking into the bathroom, he found Sofia sitting on the sink; she looked up at him surprised, and then furious.

"This is the girls room!" she spat at him, hopping down from the counter.

"What's going on?" Louis asked, leaning against the bathroom door.

"Nothing, I'm just tired," Sofia said,

"Tired?" Louis questioned, raising his eyebrows. It was clear he didn't believe her.

"Who were those guys?" Louis asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Sofia said, although a part of her thought it might be a good idea to tell him. She didn't think those men were going away, and the feeling that things were going to get worse before they got better that had been in the back of her head since her parents died was getting bigger. She couldn't shake her anxiety or the feeling that the world was closing in. She couldn't stop thinking about Harry and what they had said about him.

"Why are you lying to me?" Louis growled, stepping forward.

"I'm not," Sofia said, "I just ... I'm tired and I'm a little out of it, and a little stressed, that's all."

"Why were you so freaked out by Harry touching you?" Louis tried again,

"You seem anxious, maybe a little scared."

"I'm not scared of anybody," Sofia growled, "Especially not Harry Styles. You're creating things in your head, Louis. Nothing is going on, and I'm not anxious."

"I don't believe you," Louis said, quietly.

"That's not my problem."

"Sof, if something is bothering you or something is going on, you know you can tell me. Maybe I can help."

"I don't need your help, Louis!" Sofia snapped at him, her eyes were no longer distant or distracted, they were cold and hard. Sofia had suddenly returned to her body, and she was determined to block him out. He could sense that, he could sense that she was back to keeping everyone at arms length. Louis feared that if he didn't get into her head before it was too late, any progress they had made would go away.

"We don't handle things on our own around here," he said, "We're a team, a family."

Sofia's eyes narrowed on him, as she stepped towards him and the door. Putting her hand on the handle before he could stop her, she swung the door open.

"My family is dead, Louis," Sofia hissed, "You know that."

And with that she walked out of the bathroom, leaving Louis sighing behind her. Whatever happened tonight, whatever she was keeping from them, it was pushing her away again. Louis just wanted to bring her closer, but Sofia seemed determined to pull away.

When Louis returned to the table, everyone looked up at him expectedly, except for Sofia who was now concentrating on her drink and her phone. Louis shrugged at them all. He wanted to tell them he was concerned, but he didn't want to try and trap Sofia into opening up. She was like a wild animal, and he was afraid that if they tried to hard to keep her, she'd run further and faster.

"She's avoiding me," Harry said to Louis as the stood, leaning on the railing at the club.

"She's avoiding everyone tonight," Louis said, his eyes trained on Sofia who was sitting by herself on a couch.

"What do you thinks going on?" Harry asked, as Eleanor approached them with drinks.

"I think she's got a secret," Louis said, "And I think the only way for her to keep it, is if she avoids everyone."

"That's not good," Harry growled.

"No, it's not," Louis agreed, watching as Liam talked business with Jay and Liam, while Danielle and Perrie laughed beside them.

"Maybe Zayn can get it out of her," Louis suggested.

"She won't tell him anything as long as he's here with Perrie," Eleanor said,
"And if you think something is going on, why don't you just let her come to you?"

"Because she won't," Harry snapped.

"I think if she really needed help, she'd tell someone," Eleanor said shrugging.

"Or she already has," Louis said, watching as Sofia jumped up as Emily and Katie walked into the VIP section.

"You think they're in on it?" Harry asked, "Cause I could get it out of them."

"Boys, she will never trust us if we don't let her come to us," Eleanor said,

"Just leave her alone."

"She's acting odd," Louis growled, "She's freaking me out."

"She's a teenager, that's what they do."

"What happened?" Emily asked.

"I don't know, but they had to have been following me," Sofia said, glancing around the club, "So, just keep your eyes open. I don't think they're going away."

"Shouldn't we tell Liam?" Katie hissed, "I mean, what if these guys are looking for trouble?"

"What if Harry started the trouble?" Sofia snapped, "I don't want to be the one to tell Liam that, he's got enough going on."

"So, you're just gonna let this go? What if you get hurt?"

"If these guys wanted to hurt me," Sofia hissed, "They would've made a move tonight. They were just looking to get their dicks wet. Trying to show off how tough they are."

"You're not worried?" Emily asked her, eyebrows rose as though she couldn't believe Sofia was so calm. Sofia sighed, not wanting to let her friends in on the anxiety she was feeling.

"No," she answered, "I'm not worried. I just have to find out more about the situation."

"Harry would never hurt a girl," Katie whispered, leaning into Sofia.

"Maybe not now," Sofia growled, "But we don't know anything about him from Holmes Chapel. Why did he leave? Why did he never go back? Maybe Liam doesn't know Harry as well as he thinks he does."

"Are you saying Harry's dangerous?" Emily asked, glancing over at Harry quickly, "Because he's totally watching us."

"I'm saying that I need more information," Sofia said, "Before I tell anyone, anything."

Sofia also looked up, to see Louis and Harry both watching her, with Eleanor chatting at their side. She had made everyone suspicious tonight, looking around the club, she saw Niall at the bar.

"I'll be right back," Sofia said, "Just stay here, and keep an eye out. Let me know if you see anything not right."

"You got it," Katie said, taking a seat on the couch, as Sofia moved her way towards Niall.

"Niall," she greeted sitting next to him, and waving the bar tender to give her a drink.

"You're not supposed to be drinking," Niall observed, spinning in his chair.

"Yeah," Sofia said, "Stupid rule, that is. Listen, I have a question for you."

"What's up?"

"Has Harry ever had a girlfriend? Or a girl he hung around with, or talked about?"

"Besides Caroline?" Niall asked.

"Yeah, he doesn't really like her, so she doesn't count," Sofia snapped.

"Nah, Harry's never been serious about anyone. Why? You looking to get laid?" Niall asked, jokingly.

"No, fucker," Sofia snapped, "He's never talked about anyone in Holmes Chapel? Do you know why he left?"

"He never really said, said there was nothing there for him anymore... why?"

"Did he have connections there? Did he leave another group?" Sofia asked, ignoring Nialls question.

"Not that I know of," Niall answered, shrugging, "But he doesn't really talk about it either. He never really has."

"So, we just let this guy in without really knowing anything about him?"

"He's a good guy and he's got a good shot," Niall said, "What else is there to know?"

"How do we know he's a good guy?" Sofia asked, glancing around.

"What is going on with you?" Niall asked, "Why are you so interested Harry all of a sudden? And why are you suspicious right now? Did something happen?"

"No," Sofia snapped, "I'm just wondering..."

"Listen Sof, if there's something you have to say, just say it..." Niall growled, "You've been weird all night, we all know something is going on..."

"There is nothing going on," Sofia snapped.

"Yes there is," Katie said, suddenly appearing by her side, "And you're going to hate it."

"What's up?" Sofia asked.

"Madison Lee and her girls just showed up in the VIP section," Emily said, pointing to a group of girls, "With Danny."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me," Sofia growled.

"Who's Madison Lee?" Niall asked, but Sofia was already off her seat and moving towards the girls who were dancing in the middle of the section.

***

"Who are these bitches?" Danielle asked, through her teeth, as she watched them dance on tables, while every single boy in the section watched.

"They go to our school," Emily hissed, while Sofia glared.

"They're half naked," Eleanor snapped, as she glanced over at Louis and Harry, who were cheering on the girls from the side.

"Yeah, well, if Liam keeps looking at them like that, it's the only naked he'll be seeing..." Danielle hissed.

"Got another one?" Sofia asked Perrie, who was smoking, Perrie looked up at her surprised, but handed her a cigarette and lit it for her.

"Is there a plan?" Perrie asked.

"How did they even get up here?" Sofia growled, her scowl growing deeper.

"I told you, Danny," Katie said.

"Fucking Danny," Sofia mumbled, taking a drag, watching as Madison
danced her way back to the ground, all eyes still on her, and she was loving the attention.

"Enough of this," Sofia growled, turning to Danielle, "You so married you don't remember how to be Queen?"

"Fuck no," Danielle snapped, glaring.

"Go show these hoes how it's done," Sofia ordered, as the next song came on. Danielle didn't need to be told twice, with all the girls flanked at her side, they were up and dancing across from Madison and her girls. Sofia leaned back, taking another drag, watching as Madison became uncomfortable by the company she wasn't expecting. She watched as all the boys stood a little straighter, not expecting Danielle and Eleanor to get up and dance.

Sofia put her cigarette out, before standing up, she glanced at Liam who was giving her a warning look. He was aware that the girls were marking their territory, he just didn't want it to spin out of control. Sofia ignored him, as she got on the table, and danced. The music taking over, she could see Madison glaring at her, as she stopped dancing. All eyes were suddenly on Sofia, who was pulling Danielle on the table with her. Her body moved against Danielle's, the hooting and hollering came from below them, but Sofia's eyes didn't leave Madison's.

When the song stopped, Sofia jumped off the table, leaving Eleanor to help Danielle down.

"What the hell was that?" Madison spat at her, stepping towards her.

"This my club, bitch. I just thought we'd remind you," Sofia growled, "Now
get the hell out."

"I was invited," Madison hissed, "You can't kick me out."

"Now you're uninvited," Sofia spat, her eyes narrowing.

"Oh yeah? You want to run that by your friend Danny?"

Sofia barely noticed that all five boys had walked up to the two girls at this point, she was two busy trying to control her shaking hands and body. If anyone could throw her over the edge it was Madison Lee.

"Let me explain something to you," Sofia hissed, "These boys. Are all taken. Every single one of them are accounted for. If you want to get laid, go find
someone downstairs. You CAN'T have them."

"They aren't yours, Sofia!" Madison hissed back.

"Actually, they are. They are mine," Sofia spat, moving to push Madison back, but Niall stepped in grabbing her.

"Maybe you should go, darling," Niall said to Madison, glancing around,
"Alone. You should just take your friends and go."

"You've got to be kidding me," Madison spat out.

"He's not," Danielle growled, ignoring Liam's hand squeezing hers, "You should go, and don't come back up here again."

Madison let out a small shriek before turning and stomping her way through the VIP section and down the stairs.

"Are you done?" Liam asked, glaring at the girls, "Are you done marking us so all the other little girls know they can't play with us?"

"Shut up, Liam," Sofia snapped, "She had no right being up here and you know it."

"Actually, I can bring anyone I want up here," Danny growled, "You don't own us Sofia, we own you."

"Oh yeah? Well, if you ever bring her or her skank friends up here again, I'll make sure you don't get laid again," Sofia hissed, "I don't ever want to see that bitch in my club again."

"I second that," Danielle said, glancing at Liam, "And I do still get a say over who hangs out around this gang, don't I?"

Liam looked stuck for a second. He knew that Sofia and Danielle had rank enough to make sure that randoms weren't brought in, but he also didn't want them to think that they ran things.

"You want to tell me what your problem with this girl is?" Liam asked his sister.

"You mean besides the fact that none of you could take your eyes off of her half naked, underage ass?" Sofia spat back.

"So, it's okay if we're all staring at you, we just can't look at anyone else," Harry said.

"Fuck you," Sofia growled.

"Say it again," Harry growled, stepping up to her.

"Fuck. You." Sofia spat out, "You know what? I don't need this? You want to play with Madison Lee? Be my guest. I'm out of here."

Sofia turned heading for the exit of the VIP section, with Katie and Emily behind her. No one could grab her in time, and she was moving too fast through too many people so she couldn't be stopped.

"Shit!" Liam hissed, throwing his hands up, "What the fuck was that?!"

"I'll get her," Harry said, moving towards the exit, but Louis stopped him.

"I don't think that's a good idea, brother," Louis said, "You two might hurt each other, and she needs to cool off."

"I'm not scared of her," Harry growled.

"Maybe you should be," Niall said, slapping Harry on the back before turning back to his beer, "Especially after all the questions she was asking..."

"What questions?" Harry growled, looking surprised.

"Are we going after Madison?" Katie asked, as the girls moved down the steps.

"I'd be okay with that, actually," Emily said.

"Fuck Madison, I don't have anything to prove to her," Sofia growled, "Plus, if I got into a fight, Liam would kill me."

"All I'm saying is that after what she did," Katie started, but she was cut off by a loud bang. Sofia froze looking around, as she heard screams break out.

"Was that?" Sofia asked, before more bangs went off, "Those are gunshots! GET DOWN!"

Sofia pushed Emily and Katie down, as chaos broke out around them. People were screaming and running, and more gunshots were going off.

"Get to the back closet!" Sofia screamed, standing up, pushing Emily and Katie towards the back.

Sofia made to move, but was thrown backwards by people running. Her head slammed onto the ground, and a table flipped over, landing onto her ankle. Sofia let out a painful yell, trying to cover her face.

"Sof!" Katie yelled, trying to get back to her.

"JUST GO!" Sofia yelled, "ILL CATCH UP."

Sofia was trapped under the flipped table, and she couldn't move her ankle, she could still hear screaming and gun shots. Sofia moved her hand to try and remove the table too, but her other hand was stepped on in the process.

"ARGH!" Sofia cried out, as she heard a bone crunch below a heel. No one was trying to help her, she wasn't even sure if people could see her. Using her other leg, while trying to hold her injured hand to her chest, she tried to kick the table off of her. It landed on her foot again twice, causing her to cry out again in pain, before she got it off of her. Sliding on the floor, she tried to pull herself up, trying to avoid people and more overturned tables.
Limping her way down the hallway in the mess of people who were going the other way, she tried to not anymore hurt then she was. She limped faster as she heard two more gun shots on the outside of the back door, and more screams came. She made a giant leap towards the closet door where she hoped her friends were hiding. Opening the door, she saw Katie and Emily leap towards her.

"Are you okay? Did you get hit?" Katie asked, pulling her in and closing the door.

"No, just hurt, I can't use my hand," Sofia said, "Get back from the door."

"What's going on out there?" Emily asked, her voice cracking in worry.

"I don't know, behind you, there's a black box on a shelf. The code is 61091, there's gun, give it to me."

Emily moved as fast as she could, as Sofia leaned against another shelf, trying to ignore the piercing pain in her foot and hand.

"Can you even use a gun right now?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, it's my left hand, my right hand is okay, I just have to stay on my feet until were safe."

"Here," Emily said, handing her the gun. Sofia took it, aiming it at the door. If anyone came through, the first thing they would see was a gun pointing at them. She could still here people on the outside of the room, but she hadn't heard any more gunshots since getting into the closet.

"What do you think happened?" Katie asked.

"I don't know, just stay quiet," Sofia whispered, "We don't want anyone to hear us."

Sofia turned quickly when she heard a jiggle at the door, lifting the gun in her hand higher, as the door swung open.

"Fuck," she breathed out, as Niall stepped through also holding a gun. Sofia quickly handed the gun to Katie, before sliding to the floor, to get off her foot.

"Are you okay?" Niall asked, stepping forward quickly, "Were you hit?"

"Trampled," Sofia mumbled. Niall stepped forward grabbing her arm.

"My hand!" Sofia screeched.

"Jesus Christ," Niall hissed, lifting her throwing her good arm around his shoulder, and moving his around her waist.

"Can you walk on it?" he asked gently.

"Does it look like I can fucking walk on it?" Sofia growled, trying to bite back her pain.

"Alright, we have to get you upstairs, and out of here," Niall said, helping her limp out of the closet.

"What the hell happened?" Sofia asked.

"We don't now yet," Niall said, "But we think it was the Suns."

***

"What happened?" Liam growled, as Niall helped Sofia onto the couch.

"I got tramped," Sofia said.

"Someone get them out of here," Liam said, pointing to Emily and Katie, "Before we're invaded by the law."

Danny moved towards the girls, pushing them back down the steps they had just come up.

"Cops are here," Zayn said, running in with Harry, both had their guns out.

"We know anything yet?" Sofia asked

"No," Liam growled, looking as police walked through the club doors.

"What happened?" Harry said, kneeling next to Sofia on the couch, and gently taking her food. Sofia hissed in pain.

"She needs a doctor, this could be a break," Harry said, "It's already swelling."

"Her hand too," Niall said, "Plus I think her face needs stitches."

"My face?" Sofia growled, Harry reached up touching her cheek gently with his finger, revealing blood.

"It's pretty deep," he said quietly, "Does it hurt?"

"I didn't even notice," Sofia said.

"Gun shots will do that," Harry said.

"Payne," Officer Davis greeted as he walked in.

"Davis," Liam said, turning towards the police officer.

"I'm going to have to take you down to the station."

"You have a warrant for his arrest?" Sofia growled, pushing herself up from the couch, ignoring her pain. Liam put his hand gently on her arm.

"It's alright, Sof," Liam said quietly.

"I don't need a warrant, it's just for some questioning. But, first an explosion at a warehouse, and now a shooting at our biggest club in town. If I wanted, I could come back with a warrant, for everything. We wouldn't want that, would we?"

"Are you threatening us?" Zayn growled, stepping towards the man.

"Enough," Liam said, "If you have questions, I'll go down and answer them."

"Not alone," Sofia growled.

"I'll be fine," Liam said.

"She's right, Liam," Niall said, "You can't go alone. Louis took the girls back to the house, we can't leave them alone either."

"Someone has to get her to a doctor," Harry said, forcing Sofia's arm around his shoulder, so he could hold her up.

"I'll be fine," Sofia hissed.

"No," Liam snapped, "You have to get looked at."

"Liam, now," Davis said.

"Shut it, Davis," Liam growled, "You don't call the shots around here, I do. Don't forget your fucking place."

"What'd you wanna do boss?" Niall asked, Liam looked around the empty, torn up club, which more police officers were entering.

"They're gonna look for security tapes, I don't need them seeing anything they shouldn't," Liam said, looking at Niall, "Get on that. Now."

"You got it," Niall said.

"Tell Danny to go to the house when he's done dropping off the girls, make sure he gets Danielle to pack some stuff. We might have to get out of town for a few days," Liam directed at Niall before he left, "I don't want either him or Louis sleeping until everyone is home. Get the word out about what happened, I want everyone protected and carrying."

"Can you get her to a doctor?" Liam said, turning to Harry.

"Yeah, sure," Harry said.

"I'm trusting you, Harry," Liam growled, "She's gotta be safe, you both do."

"Liam I don't need –" Sofia tried to say.

"Shut up," Harry growled, "You can barely stand. You aren't good to anybody in this condition. We'll be fine, Liam."

"I don't want to go with you," Sofia growled, trying to ignore the hurt that flashed across Harry's face, "Can't I take Zayn?"

"I'm with your brother," Zayn said, "If he goes down town, so doing I."

"Dam nit," Sofia hissed.

"Get her out of here, get her to a doctor, keep your heads down, make sure you aren't followed," Liam barked.

"Got it," Harry said, his tight getting tighter on Sofia, she hissed again as she moved.

"It'd be easier if you let me pick you up," Harry said gently, looking down at her. Sofia bit her lip, she didn't want to show weakness, but she knew she couldn't stay on her foot either.

"It hurts huh?" Harry asked quietly.

"Yeah," Sofia admitted.

"Alright," Harry said, bending down, and picking her up bridal style. Against her judgment, Sofia rested her head on his shoulder, as he carried her past the law enforcement and out into the cold night air.

"You're carrying right?" Sofia asked, looking around anxiously, before looking up at Harry.

"Don't worry," Harry said, walking towards a car, "I won't let anything happen to you."

He pulled the car door open, and gently placed her inside. He pulled the seatbelt over her and just inches away from her face he looked at her intensely.

"Besides, now we can talk about why you were asking Niall so many questions."

Sofia felt her heart stop.

"Fucking Niall.." she mumbled, as Harry slammed the car door.
