Untitled Godly Parent

Aurora woke me up when we were there. I was always guilty for falling asleep in a car ride. When we got there we walked over a big hill to see a huge pine tree and a doorway with the words "Camp Half Blood" carved into it. Beyond it was a bunch of green hills that seemed to go on forever.

"I want to climb that tree," I said pointing at the pine tree.

"Don't. We will all kill you. Including me."

"What does that tree mean to you guys," I gasped, "Are you in a cult?" I lowered my voice to a whisper, "Blink twice for help. I can get you out of this mess still. Have you drank the Kool-Aid yet?"

"No. Don't get your tits in a twist. That is Thalia's tree. She was heroic daughter of Zeus that died in battle trying to reach camp and her dad wanted to save her life so he turned her into a tree. The tree had magical powers that  strengthen the protection around the borders of camp for a while. She was let go after the Golden Fleece. Clarisse, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover went on a quest to get it. Mini history lesson."

"Cool?"

"Yeah very." We continued walking. Once we past through the door way you saw more then just other hills. In the middle there were a cluster of houses that looked to be originally in a U but now they added new additions to it. There was a strawberry field not to far from the top of the opening and a big house that was blue and had a deck that wrapped around the building. It looked to be 3 stories tall and had a black roof with a small dark and dusty window in the attic. It was very cute. To the right of the cluster you saw a huge Pavilion and to the left was a huge arena with a tool shed next to it, a rock wall, archery area, and a horse barn. The left seemed to be surrounded by large woods and on the right was a cute little lake with a dock to match. I looked back at Aurora in confusion and walked out of camp borders. It just looked like hills. I walked back and gave her another confused look.

"The mist protects the border," she explained. I nodded back acting like I still understood completely. We walked down the hill and to the big blue house. I looked closely at her dyed blue hair and her confident walk. Was she one of them too? Today she was wearing overalls and long sleeve shirt under it along with some working boots.

"This is what I call the big house. This is where the directors are. They make sure camp runs smoothly. The second floor is the infirmary, the attic is the oracle." I smile and nodded because I realized that at this point I wouldn't understand what's going on one way or another. She walked up the porch steps and waved at someone she called Mr. D. He was playing cards with this cloud girl and drinking a coke.

"Mr. D, this is our new camper, Margo," introduced Aurora. He rolled his head to look at me. He studied me up and down.

"Listen kid. No butt kissing will effect how I see you. I already hate you,"  He said before waving us off and we moved the tour to inside. There this half man and half horse walked in.

"Woah," I said. I looked at her confused. She explained to me that Chiron was a centaur and that he ran the camp basically. I asked if he gave people piggy... well horsey back rides and that got an elbow into the royal rib cage. Not fun. He did not look happy either. Chiron told us to follow him and we walked into his office. There he gave me a neon orange Camp Half Blood (great for camouflage) shirt and an extra change of clothes that they kept in store. He also supplied me with toiletries that I would need sooner or later. He dismissed us off to a tour that was given by our lovely Aurora. After we stopped by the Hermes cabin and she told me that that is where I will be staying until I am claimed. I am still not sure what claiming is. I learned a shiney gold object will pop over your head and it will indicate a God and bam! You now know who your father is. I guess it is more appreciated than having my father being on the dark side and I will have to fight him many times and cut off our hands before going, "I am your father." I'd like to keep all my hands, fingers, and toes please and thank you. She told me she was a daughter of Demeter and was claimed about 3 years ago. That must be nice. She told me to settle in to that free bunk over in the corner and get ready for dinner. My cabin was currently at the lake but they should be back any time soon. The cabin leaders are the two twins and I should never trust anyone in this cabin and watch my back. I packed my little things away into a small chest that Chiron has given me and sat on my bed waiting. When they came back they were dripping in water. They all changed before they noticed me.

"Oh hey are you new?" said a small girl. She did not look happy being soaked. She was short and was a bit chubby. She had blonde hair to her mid back that was curly. I nodded and she introduced herself as Matrix, but I could call her Trixy. She introduced me to a couple friends that she had within the cabin. I couldn't remember their names but they all seemed very nice. We made our way to dinner when she explained to me in line about food sacrifices. We all say our thank you and prayers to our godly parents and burn a small portion of our food. I grabbed food and grabbed a little extra for the sacrifice. I'm not going to miss out on more food because of Untitled Godly Father. No can do. When we walked up to the fire I tilted my plate to scrape some food off but it all came off besides the mash potatoes. The mash potatoes seem to be the glue to this food family man. Respect.

"Oh shit guys. What do I do? Oh fuck. Oh shit. HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!" I yelled before staring down at the fiery void that stole my dinner,  "Well I guess you go enjoy it dad. I think."  I realized that I was talking to myself and maybe even my godly parent. I turned to Matrix, "So uh. Can I get seconds I guess?" she laughed and nodded and said that if I explained what happened I could just cut the line. I thanked her and tried to get seconds. When I told them what happened I got laughed at... in multiple occasions. But hey. I got food. That is truly all that matters. I learned I had to sit with my new "family". I clearly wasn't up to date on my pranking knowledge so I didn't fit in much. I talked to Matrix about how I think we should deliver domino's pizza. She agreed. And so did the table. We were going to ask Chiron tonight after rock wall climbing. I said that sounded like a lot of fun and she told me I didn't understand and that I need to sit out and watch it for one night before I get any crazy Ideas.

And you know what. Maybe she was right. That is some crazy shit.
