One Way to Claim

When we got back to the lobby, Hypnos was waiting for us. I exchanged a nervous look between the other two girls. When Hypnos saw us, he walked over towards us.

"I forgot to tell you something," he said to us, "Margo. You're my child. You're now claimed." He clapped his hand on my shoulder, "good talk. Gotta go back for you know.. Olympian duty and stuff."

I turned around to Matrix and Aurora. Matrix was obviously trying to hold in her laughter, "Well I mean, that is one way to do it." I punched her in the arm. We started out the front door of the Empire State building and started talking about ways to get to Texas.

"Uber?" I asked.

"Don't you need a phone for that?" questioned Matrix. We all sighed and signaled a taxi to take us to the closest edge of town by the camp. Once we got there, we updated Chiron on all the shit that went down.

"Persephone was like yo the flowers are wilting, and handed us a small ass bag, like this is so easy to lose! Then Hypnos was waiting for us there and was like yo, you're my child, wassup?" I said before Aurora, ever so rudely just interrupted me, "It didn't really happen like that, just saying. But the major points that were brought up are true."

"So you need a ride to Texas or something?"  Chiron said pinching the bridge of his nose. His reading glasses were off and dangling from one hand. He took in a deep sigh and rubbed his face before looking at us with a smile. I started to wonder what made him so stressed? Too many kids were dying on the rock climbing wall? Financials?

"Yeah. Do you know like a bus line or some body who could give us a ride?"

"I think I know somebody that can give you a ride," he said with a worried look on his face. Was this a really unsafe driver? Was a quest to the middle-of-no-where Texas really that dangerous?
