Leaving Rohan

I wake up and find Legolas watching me. "Morning beautiful."

I smile, "good morning."

"Lily I could stay like this forever but I fear they will be meeting early today to discuss what happened with the stone last night. We had better get ready and be there."

"I guess you are right but I really do not want to get up." I reluctantly role out of bed and head into the bathroom to get ready for the day. When I come out he is already gone so I head to the great hall and find all of them already gathered and in deep conversation.

Aragorn looks at us with a strange grin and I realize he thinks more went on that what actually did last night. "Lily how are you feeling after last night." I blush knowing what he is thinking and hear Legolas stifle a laugh. I am about to die of embrasment then realize he is talking about my visions last night.

"Oh I am alright, I think thanks for asking."

Gandalf cuts him off. "Well that is good to hear." he continues talking about the war and how Gondor must be warned. I have no idea what he is saying; obviously I have missed a lot. Then I notice Legolas is getting upset and saying he will go as well.

"I am sorry, I lost track what is happening." I say.

"You need to leave here Lily, our enemy also knows you are here and will stop at nothing to hunt you down and take back what he feels is his." Gandalf never one to mince words.

I hear Legolas state what he will do before he sees that happen in elvish. Aragorn throws him a sympathetic look.

Gandalf continues, "You will fly now to Lothlorien they will know what needs to be done once you arrive. You cannot come with us or stay here. I am afraid once we leave here our paths will be full of peril.

"I do not wish to leave, but if you are all in danger than I will."

"I shall go with you." I hear Legolas say.

"No Legolas you are needed here. Besides you know why you are doing this and what our success may mean." Aragorn says as he looks over at me.

I am confused but decide not to bother everything confuses me now, but it does remind me that I never really asked Legolas what he is doing here, with hobbits, men and a dwarf fighting orcs for a king. I figure all would be made known shortly, some of it I am sure I did not wish to hear. Then I remembered something Gandalf said a few seconds ago.

"Wait Gandalf did you say fly to Lothlorien." He just smiled at me and nodded. I had no idea what he meant but I have a feeling I was about to find out. Legolas up and left the room. I follow him as he heads outside. He seems very upset.

"I should be going with you."

"I would like that but I have a feeling you being here is what I need the most right now. I have a strange feeling that without you staying I will fail at whatever it is I need to do."

He pulls me into a hug and kisses the top of my head and I feel like I am hit by something. He has done this before, many times when I have been upset. I do not tell him but I feel I am starting to remember things at least feelings.

"Legolas please believe me when I say this; we will be together again soon. I feel it."

"I cannot watch you walk away again."

"You know I must, but please trust me. I will move heaven and earth to find you again. I love you forever and always, don't forget it."

Legolas had tears in his eyes again, "that is what you said last time you left. Lily we will win this war, and then we can be together and really be married. I promise you that. I know you will not understand what I am saying to you, but I need you to fight with all you have. Do not listen to what is being said to you. Maliki will do anything to have what he wants and that is you. I cannot do this for you or trust me I would. I hate this, but I must let you go, I cannot help you, even though this might kill me."

"Do not despair Legolas all will work out I promise you that."

I kiss him and wipe away the one tear falling on his cheek. We hold onto each other for a few minutes, and then we part as I go to pack.

I turn back "Legolas please do not watch me leave I could not bear it." He nodded.

It was only about 30 minutes before I was ready to leave; it took me longer to pack some food. I went outside and everyone was there but Legolas and Gandalf and Pippin who had already left. I said my goodbyes and suddenly a great white eagle appeared. I got nervous and excited all at the same time.

"Is this what Gandalf meant by flying, oh this is crazy."

I heard Legolas voice from behind me, "It is safe Lily you have done this several times to get away from your parents. In fact I do believe this is Vila your eagle.

"I have an eagle. You all have no idea what it is like to learned something new about yourself every day." I look over at the eagle and I get a sense this may be alright after all. "Ok here I go, and Legolas I thought you were not coming."

"I would not have missed saying goodbye no matter what you asked. Also I did figure the eagle would be a little scary." He opens his arm and we hug again, he then kisses the top of my head and forehead. "Be safe Lily and we shall meet again soon."

I nod and slowly climb onto the eagle. She waited several seconds to make sure I was comfortable and then slowly we took to the skies. It was like she sensed I was nervous. As soon as I start to feel pretty good she takes off threw the sky. I look back and can see them all standing there watching me. Legolas leaning up against a pillar. I hope this is not the last time I ever see him.
