Family Meeting

I woke up late again this morning. Legolas was sleeping next to me. I couldn't help but smile to realize last night was not a dream. I knew today was going to be an awful day. So I just decided to lay here and enjoy the sun coming through my window. I could hear in the distance the men practicing for the tournament tomorrow. Legolas should probably be doing the same thing if he wanted to win. I do believe I have become quite a distraction for him lately. Although he did not seem to mind. I could tell by the sun that it was already well after 9, still I did not want to move. At around 10 I decided to wake Legolas up. I kissed his neck and after a few seconds of this I heard him moan in his sleep, finally he woke.

"Good morning beautiful. I could wake up like this every day," he said.

"I agree, so why don't we?"

"No arguments from me."

"Legolas should you not be practicing with the others."

He just smiled, "yes I probably should be, but I would rather be here. Besides there is always after lunch." He began to kiss me and didn't stop there. It was sometime before lunch when we finally left our room.

I left first and went down to join the others for lunch. Polite conversation was being held and none of my family was there. It was actually quite nice.
Legolas came in and joined his father.

"Legolas how nice of you to join us, you have been missing breakfast a lot these days."

"Oh yes sorry I have been busy." He responded. He father simply nodded, "I remember those days." He said with I slight smile on his face as he remembered earlier times with his wife. I couldn't help but smile. He still loved her even after all these years without her. I looked over at Legolas who was blushing as he looked down at his food. The situation was quiet funny and almost made me laugh out laugh. Instead I just giggled a little causing Legolas to blush even more.

The people there began to chat about the coming days events. I excused myself and left the table. I had so much on my mind and now that I was no longer locked up with Legolas everything was coming to the surface again. My father found me sitting on the steps me the gate into the palace. He did not say anything just sat beside me. I was glad for his silence. I decided it was time to speak.

"Ada or whatever I am to call you now, why did you never tell me. I feel cheated and lied to and angry. There is also confusion as I still love you all very much and feel like I have lost all my family in one day."

My father was a strong man, one of the toughest but today I heard his voice crack. He did not cry but he did waver for a minute and it made me soften towards him. He did care about me.

"Lily my dear I have made some big mistakes. Hurting you was probably the worse. I did not mean to lie to you. I was only doing what I thought was right. Truth be told I did not know about your powers when we took you in, nor did I care when I did find out. It was only when Maliki's identity was revealed that I began to care about such things. It was out of fear for my daughter. Yes lily, you are still my daughter and please still called me Ada if you choose to, if not I understand but it would make me very happy if you did." He puts his hand on mine and I place my head on his shoulder.

"Ada", I hear him smile, may I please tell you everything."

"Yes please always."

I proceed to tell him all about the Valar, Ulmo, and who Maliki and I really are.

"Lily the whole family has called a meeting later this afternoon to talk about recent events; I would really like you to attend."

"I shall try." My father gives me a hug and leaves; yes he is my father even if not in blood.
