I am Strong

The next day was the last day of the tournament, the end of the two weeks. The visitors had planned on staying a week or two more just as a good sportsmanship gesture. I wake up to find Legolas for once awake before me.

"Good morning my love," he says. "It sure is a beautiful day outside."

"Yes it is, but I would much rather stay here."

He laughs, "That would be nice but we can't hide forever. I am afraid I have to leave and get ready for today. Will you be joining us today, or do you have other plans."

"I have plans in for the morning but will be there shortly after lunch. Today is the sparring day and I so like to see you fight with other people." I smile up at him, I do know he likes to show off and lately I noticed he makes a special effort when I am around, in fact I believe he always has.

"Alright but stay safe for once and I shall see you later. I love you Lily forever and always." He kisses me goodbye.

"I feel the same Legolas and don't ever doubt it." It is hard to let him leave.

I get up and get ready for my day. I set out to find Ulmo. I hope he even talks to me after yesterday and also we are only supposed to meet every 2 days but I need to see him. Today is not for practice but apologies. I head to the river and find him standing there. I did not even have to call for him today.

'Well look who has decided to show up today. What changed your mind or are you hear to convince me that I am the one who is wrong and Maliki should be allowed to spread his black magic all over our land."

"I guess I deserve that and more. I am sorry Ulmo please forgive me, but there is much I need to tell you. I was very wrong, so wrong in fact I put everyone I care about in danger. Even worse I doubted the one person who would do anything for me." I told him about the Orc's and Darrius and getting into his thoughts.

"Well Lily you have grown so much overnight it seems. But you have learned how to get in his head and that could be valuable more importantly you know must learn to keep him out of yours. Be careful as I do not think he will hide for much longer. He may be willing to strike any time, if you prove that you are stronger than he thinks he may retreat to regroup and refocus. He truly believes you are weak and up until a short time ago you were. You must show him that you can match him at his own game. The time is coming where you must reveal who you really are, do not be afraid of those who may see you as different. There is no shame in possessing powers Lily the only thing to be ashamed of is not having the courage to be who you really are. Remember these words as you will need them before nightfall."

"Thanks Ulmo but as always I have no idea what you are talking about, and then something happens and it all makes sense, I know you can see the future tell me can you see what happens to me."

"No I wish I could I can see somethings but your final battle with Maliki is a mystery to us all. You will need to decide what you are going to do when the time comes. We shall probably not meet again in this life. I have taught you all I can. You will need to find your own strength now."

"Is this punishment for yesterday, I am sorry really I am not ready thought I need you to teach me more."

"I have taught you everything. You will do what you need to do when the time is right. Just trust in yourself. Goodbye my dear child of Valinor. I will see you again someday."

I bow my head and when I look up he is gone. I head back to Mirkwood thinking of everything Ulmo has said. What am I supposed to do now and what does he means something will happen before the end of the day? Do I just sit and wait for my life to change? I hate this every day is as filled with mystery as the next can I never have a normal regular day anymore.
