Ana Jamieson balled her hands into fists nervously, a faint smile plastered on her blood-coloured lips. She chewed the inside of her bottom lip and glanced down at her white knuckles and sighed, opening up her palm to reveal a crumpled document. She glanced up at her husband as he placed a comforting hand on her thigh.

"Nervous?" grinned David, his blue eyes twinkling with excitement.

"A little," the blonde woman admitted sheepishly, letting her head droop onto his shoulder, "I'm just happy too."

She chuckled lightly, trying to reassure herself more than him.

"I mean, we're actually going to adopt a child," she sighed, her emotions all clashing at once.

"Probably," corrected Mr. Jamieson, "well, hopefully."

"Will," emphasized the woman, squeezing his hand, "we will."

13 years later...

Megatron viewed the screen before his optics thoughtfully, tapping a single digit on the desk he was supporting himself on. A brand new plan swam around his mind as the signal flashed, and he was filled with an overwhelming wave of ambition.

"Another Techno Organic, so soon after I have lost my pet, not yet reached by the AutoBots," the Decepticon leader muttered, smirking, "and we shall reach her first. Soun-" he paused, a sudden pang of disappointment appearing in his spark, but soon to be replaced with fiery hatred.

"Knockout," he summoned the bulky Decepticon, "I have an assignment for you. And bring Lee with you!"

Danielle Jamison's eyelids fluttered open slowly, revealing her bedroom ceiling. Sitting up quickly, she winced and regretted it briefly. Pain was present throughout her entire body, but the shock and intensity of it was quickly diminishing. A groan escaped her lips.

What happened?

Her breath caught in her throat as memories of the previous night flooded into her foggy mind. Her pale fingertips shakily felt her chest, and she gasped when flesh didn't meet flesh, but metal.

Flashback- the previous night...

Danielle was home alone, laying on her bed as boredom plagued her mind. Her parents had gone off who knows where on some random business trip, leaving the entire household to her care. The young girl had decided the time was appropriate, and broke out into song.

"Woah, woah,

Woah, woah,

I'm waking up, to ash and dust,

I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust,

I'm breathing in the chemicals,

I'm breaking in, shaping up,

Then checking out on the prison bus,

This is it, the apocalypse,

Woah,

I feel it in my bones,

Enough to make my systems grow-"

Danielle's voice faltered when suddenly, a fiery, burning pain sparked in her chest. She let loose a scream of agony as her body began to glow a shadow-like grey, and tears streamed down her cheeks as eruptions of intense pain exploded in seemingly random places throughout her body.

Moments later, she experienced an odd sensation, a feeling of things destroyed being replaced. In place of a few of her vital organs began wires. She could feel them creeping up, twisting and turning to cooperate with her body. She shuddered as she grew circuits, and metal and segments.
