"Don't eat my dango, you secondary character!!!" - (y/n) heard Gintoki scream in the background to Takasugi, as the purple haired boy snatched away one of the silver haired boy's sweets and ate it in a flash.
They both engaged in a fight as she and Katsura watched the all ordeal unfold.
Yes, they were in a Dango shop in the middle of town.
Why were the kids there? Something about their sensei having go pick up some books and they just ended up tagging along so that they could skip training. This way they could take the time to walk around the village.
At first, the girl was a little reluctant, but now she just felt like always, sometimes some people gave her weird looks, like they had recognized her, but she just shoved it off and just forgot about them in seconds, thanks to her energetic friends that were now by her side.
They were like brothers to her and for the girl it feeled like they could be even in hell that she would still manage to be happy as long as she was with them.
After eating, the quartet took a walk around the shops, until their stroll got interrupted, when they passed through a funeral parade.
(Y/n), Takasugi and Gintoki were planning on just passing by without paying it much attention, but suddendly Katsura stopped in his tracks, making the entire bunch that was behind him, stop without warning and hit him directly on his back.
Because of the impact, (Y/n) lost her footing and almost fell in her butt, but fortunately Takasugi caught her, holding her in an almost bride like position.
"This is no time for lovey dovey crap, guys! " - Gintoki teased with an annoyed face, while rubbing his now red nose for bumping onto Katsura's back.
The girl and the boy traded looks and both blushed dark shades of red, before getting up quickly in embarrassment.
Takasugi was so embarrassed that he quickly tried to change the subject and luckily for him he had the perfect theme.
"Why did you stop so suddendly?!" - he asked Katsura faking being as mad as Gintoki.
Katsura didn't reply. In fact, if (y/n) had to guess it seemed like he hadn't even heard his friends.
The long haired boy seemed focused on someone in the parade, though the girl couldn't pick exactly who. Maybe he knew someone there?
She poked Katsura's shoulder and when he finally gave her his attention, she decided to ask:
"See someone you know?"
"N-N-No!" - the boy replied flustered with his cheeks turning red
His reaction made the girl confused. Why was he so embarrassed?
"Just forget, (y/n). I think that idiot has a crush on the widow..." - Gintoki clarified, seeing right through is friend and leaving both the girl and Takasugi with deadpaned expressions.
"So that's what you like, hun? - (Y/n) sighed, a little disappointed.
"There are taste for everything, I guess..." - Takasugi added.
