With that out of the way, the groups both went their separate ways and the girl and the boy proceeded to the Takasugi estate.

When they reached the estate, (Y/n) had to take a deep breath in, not because she was scared, but to be able to take in the sight in front of her.

Right there, before her eyes unfolded a huge and intimidating house.

It wasn't that big in reality, but to a girl who came from a small house in a poor village, ravaged by the horrors of war, it looked more like some kind of magical castle, straight out of one of those fairytails, her mother used to tell her... (at least that was how she imagined them...)

Now she understood what Gintoki meant when he called their friend by rich boy...

Still, once the girl looked to the side in search for a helping encouraging hand, she found an even more overwhelmed Takasugi. Even though it was the boy's house, he looked even more anxious to enter than her.

The purple haired boy, of course, didn't wanted her to notice this, so he tried covering it, the best way he could, but she quickly saw right through him and somehow seeing that Takasugi wasn't that different from her in his core. No matter how much the house made it look like.

They were two kids who valued each other very much and that was all that it truly mattered. To top it off Takasugi didn't acted a bit like the spoiled rich brats she had had the displeasure of meeting before in some of her adventures with the gang, so it was all fine. This didn't changed anything about the way she saw him. At least that was what she told herself.

Since both of them didn't seem very willing to take the first step in, Takasugi did the honors, flashing her a small smile to which she replied, with an equally soft one that was enough to give the boy the last drop of courage he needed.

Since last time the olive eyed boy had been in that place, he was pretty much kicked out and his father had denied him his inheritance, he and his family weren't in very good terms and he opted to be sneaky and guide (y/n) around the house, so they could enter from the back.

It almost felt like they were breaking in, instead of visiting. The thought made the girl giggle, what earned her a silence sign from her friend. She just pouted and continued to follow the boy.

They entered through a window that had been left open. (Y/n) was the first to come inside, with Takasugi helping her up and after she pulled him inside as well.

Until then, things had been going smoothly. The house was very silent, almost like some kind of church. As they moved around, trying their best to not being noticed, the little sound the girl could hear were of servants doing all kinds of chores, such as cleaning and fixing things.

(Y/n) took a little time to observe the employees, peaking through a creek in a door to a large room, that she assumed to be the living room. Inside there were some workers surrounding one man. But this one didn't look like a servant. He was dressed with a obviously expensive yukata. The man around him all seemed so plastic and false. The way they talked and served. None of them looked like they enjoyed much what they were doing but they put up fake smiles to contempt what seemed to be their boss.
