My head pounded and my body felt like lead. I tried to move my arms, even fingers but they refused to obey my orders. What happened? Something tugged at the corners of my memory and as soon as they displayed themselves I wished they hadn't. No, no, no. I can't live. I can't have survived. Then my body switched on, like a switch, and I lifted my head up and down, slamming it on something soft that was placed under it, hoping that I would go back unconchess and never come back. It was then I heard voices, but at the moment I couldn't care less if people were around, walking in the bush. I slammed my heeds down harder when I froze. I said it was soft. What? The ground, last time I checked, was hard. Where the hell was I? My eyes opened coursesly to see 4 guys sitting around me. I groaned and shut my eyes, concentrating more on knocking my self out then the guys surrounding me. I pounded my head harder until someone said softly, "Hey, Hey, hey. Stop, you'll hurt yourself."
'Duh,' I said in my head 'that's kind of the point.' He put his hand gently on either side of my head, holding it still.
I opened my eyes again slowly, to see two eyes looking down at me worriedly. "Please stop," he whispered. I sighed and reluctantly nodded. He let my head go and watched me warily.
"What am I doing here?" I croked.
"We found you in the woods on the edge of our territory. You were in a... A pretty bad state."
I nodded, they were werewolves, I could smell it a bit, as my senses aren't as good as a full werewolf but better then a human, and they just confirmed it. We fell into silence.
"I'm Gorden, by the way," he said and pointed to the guy opposite him, "That's Josh." Josh had sandy blode hair as aposed to Gordens dark brown. His eyes were cristal blue and he was tan.
Gorden then pointed to the next two saying, "and those two twins are Sean and Dean."
I nodded as I looked at them. They had light brown hair and defined faceal features. Sean and Dean both had hazelnut eyes and the only way you could tell them apart was the Dean had a slight wave in his hair whereas Sean's was straight. Over all they were amazingly gourgess with tanned toned bodies.
"Why did you save me?" I whispered.
They all looked at me shocked. "Why wouldn't we?" Gorden asked.
I shrugged not telling them how insecure I was.
Josh spoke next, "You were hurt. Someone like you shouldn't be on the brink of death."
"What do you mean 'someone like you?'" I asked looking down.
"Someone so innocent, unique and caring," he answered.
I scoffed lightly. "You don't know me."
"Yeah, but I can tell," he said with a gentle smile.
"So.. Wait, do you have a name?" Dean asked.
I smiled sadly, "Bree."
The grinned, "Nice name," Dean commented before continuing, "Why were you out in the woods on your own?"
My head began to throb as I relieved my most horrible moment. Tears spilled over the edge of my eyes and I looked down at my hands.
I felt someone sit on the bed and direct my chin up to look at them. "Please tell us," Gorden's gentle eyes pleading and encouraging me to tell him.
"I found my mate," I said simply.
They all looked at me like I had gone insane.
"That doesn't explain a thing," Sean said bewildered.
I sighed, they were going to kick me out sooner of later. Why not sooner? Then they'll hopefully shove me back into the forest and I can finish what they interupted. "I come from the GreenWood pack," I started. So I told them the sorry story of my pitiful life. It took me awhile but by the end my head ache was gone from hurting to throbbing, as well as having my eyes puffy from crying. The twins envoploed me into a hug and I cried into their chests. Once they pulled away Gorden spoke, "Would you like to join our pack?"
"Don't you have to ask you Alpha before you ask me?"
"You're looking at him," he shrugged,"So do you want to join?"
I nodded slightly, blushing slightly about the fact that I had just told a pathetic story of my life to my future Alpha, and they all smiled. It felt good to tell someone and they made me feel like they cared.
All of a sudden an excrusciatung pain ripped through my pelvis, smearing through my lower stomach.
I bent over and screeched in pain. Gorden's eyes hovered over me worriedly stroking my cheek.
"What's wrong with her?" Sean asked, or maybe it was Dean, they sounded the same and to be honest I didn't care during this gut wrenching agony.
Sadly, the pain got worse. What before was just a stab of a knife, now felt like the knife was turning, digging deeper.
"It's her mate. He's... Being very intermate with someone else," Gorden said quietly.
Slowly the pain died down, leaving a slightly hollow presence sweep over me. I slumped and brought my knees to my chest, rocking back and forth sightly.
They all watched me worriedly. "He was really with someone else?" I asked hoping that I had heard wrong because I knew exactly who he would be with.
"I'm sorry," Gorden said, gently pulling me to him. I had met him a mere 10 minutes ago and he was more of a family than I have had in a while. I hugged him back, soaking in the comfort that came off him in waves.
He pulled away and wiped my tears away. "Everything will be fine. You have us now."
They other nodded in agreement. "You missed dinner but we'll bring something for you to have," Josh said standing up with the rest, "You can't get out of bed until tomorrow to get over all your drug intake."
I nodded. "Don't worry about bring something up for me to eat. I'm not hungry. Thank you," I said as they smiled at me, then walked out the door.
I snugged under a blanket that was placed on the end of the bed and the last thing I thought before I fell into a deep sleep was, 'Why?'
