Don't Go

----Chapter 12----

Meanwhile in SM Ent. .....

EXO was gathered in one room for a important announcement from their manager.

"The company has decided to pair some of you up...for business reasons. Some of you may pick your own partner but for some of you, I have picked someone already..." announced EXO's manager.

"Isn't this taking it too far? Can't we decide for our own, I mean we have rights you know" complained one of them. 

"I really am sorry for this, but it was one of the things that you agreed on by signing your contracts to this company" replied the manager.

"So who are the ones who's paired up?" asked Kris.

"Well...so far, You and Kris"

"WHAT?!" said the both of them.

"Kai will be paired with the trainee that will debut soon, I've heard you two were already close so...there,As for Kris, you will be paired with Tao"

The members all looked at Tao and Kris.

"Tao?" asked Chen "Oh, okay then...I mean...it will happen sometime..."

"Huh? WAIT! NO! I mean Kris will be paired with an Chinese actress,sorry" clarified the manager.

"Well, Tao DOES resemble a Chinese actress, so...we understand you manager" said Chen. All of the members laughed except for Tao, who was glaring at Chen. The manager called their attention and the laughing ceased.

"So, that's all...Byun Baekhyun stay behind, the rest of you may leave"

All of the EXO members except for Baekhyun left the room leaving the two of them alone. The manager sat down in one of the chairs and invited Baekhyun to sit on the other one, but Baekhyun refused and said that he's in a hurry.

"This is about you marriage..." started the manager."You have been paired with someone with the management

"What?! Don't they know I'm already married?!"

"They do, but they see you wife as a harm to your career...Our company and another company made a deal, I also heard that you had a deal with your father and..."

"None of that is your business..."

"You are given a month to decide...Leave your wife or leave the company..." sighed the manager.

"Fine" Baekhyun stormed out of the room and slammed the door. While he was walking outside he got a text from Chanyeol.

"I'm on my way back to the hospital, I'll see you there"

When Baekhyun reached the hospotal he passed by a familiar looking lady looking at him, but he ignored it and walked faster thinking it was a fan. When he reached the room, he saw a nurse giving Jo a shot of something from a syringe.

"All done" said the nurse

The nurse looked really happy, You can tell that she's smiling underneath the face mask. "A fan?" thought Baekhyun. On her way out, the nurse accidentally bumped him.

"Mianhe, oppa~!" the nurse apologized and went out of the room.

"Yup, she's a fan" confirmed Chanyeol "She squealed when she saw me"

Baekhyun nodded and sat beside Jo's bed.

"Are you alright now?" asked Baekhyun

"Yeah, but I feel a bit sleepy...It must be the medicine" answered Jo. "When can I get out of here?"

"Let me ask the doctor..." Baekhyun pulled out his phone and dialed the number.

"Hello? This is Doctor Tennant speaking..."

"This is Byun Baekhyun..."

"Oh! Yes yes, How's your wife? Is she doing good?"

"Um..yes"

"Good, good. I wish you could visit me..I made cookies!"

"What? We're in the hospital actually...I thought you knew"

"Still? I thought I told the nurse that you could go home already"

"Well, she told us to stay because you need to do some tests..."

"Tests? Tests for what? She fainted because she's stressed and the fact that she has a history of having a disease! No tests are needed for that!"

"What?! But the nurse just came in and gave her a shot of something"

"Oh no...I'll be right there"

The doctor hanged up.

"So?" Jo stood up stretched her arms and hugged Baekhyun.

"He said you were free to go...since this morning"

"Wait, what?!" asked Mido who was just as confused as the rest of them were. "So the nurse was..." Chanyeol started. Jo let go of Baekhyun and leaned on the wall near them, all of them ran to Jo.

"Hey are you alright?!" asked Mido.

"Yes, I'm just a bit sleepy that's all" answered Jo.

Within a few seconds the door burst open. "Where's Jo?!" and as if on cue, Jo fell on the floor, she lost consciousness. Baekhyun immediately catches her and carried her to the bed."What happened to her?! Why does she feel cold?!" asked Baekhyun. The doctor went ot the trash can and picked up the used syringe "I'm not sure but..."He examined the syringe carefully."I need to test this and see what it is...but as for now" The doctor pressed the emergency button near Jo's bed, Within seconds nurses came bursting in the room.

"I need all of you to monitor her NOW, I think she has been drugged, QUICKLY NOW"

"Drugged?! with what?!" asked Mido. "With this..." the doctor was referring to the syringe that was used by the nurse a while ago.

"Ah..I want to know the names of the nurses who came in this room, place it on my desk" ordered the Doctor."Monitor her well while I get this analyzed" 

Nurses and some doctors were working on Jo while Baekhyun stood by the door, watching helplessly. Chanyeol waited outside because the room was quite full, Mido on the other hand went somewhere else because she received a phone call. It took the nurses a half an our to hook up Jo in different machines, when they left, Mido and Chanyeol went back inside.

Chanyeol was trying his best to comfort his friend while Mido was pacing around the room nervously. After a few minutes Baekhyun went to Jo's side and held her hand between his.

"Should we call her mom and tell her this?" asked Mido. Baekhyun froze as he remembered that he lost his final chance to keep Jo.

"N...No.." answered Baekhyun. "Why? It's her mom, I'm pretty sure she has the right to know what happened to her own daughter..." said Mido.

"JUST SHUT UP! okay? Don't interfere when you don't ACTUALLY KNOW what's happening..."yelled Baekhyun.

Mido stopped pacing and faced Baekhyun. "You think I don't know about the promise you made her mom?huh? She...she asked me to watch her and report what ever happens to Jo!"

"Don't fight, this won't solve anything..." said Chanyeol

"If..If it weren't for me..Jo would have been far away from you right now! I tried my best to hide ALL of what was happening to Jo! from her own MOTHER! She doesn't even know that she was coughing out blood! All she knows is that she's weak at the moment.."

"What are you talking about?" Baekhyun was staring to get confused."She doesn't even know you!"

"THAT'S HOW SERIOUS SHE IS! Because she thinks that if I knew her and she knew me...you would suspect something..." Mido's phone rang, she got it from her pocket and looked to se who was calling, her expression suddenly darkened.

"I need to take this..." she ran out of the room, pain clearly shown on her face.  Chanyeol patted Baekhyun on the back and ran after her.
