"If I touch a burning candle I can feel no pain,

In the ice or in the sun it's all the same,

Yet I feel my heart is aching,

Though it doesn't beat its breaking,

And the pain here that I feel,

Try and tell me it's not real,

I know that I am dead,

Yet it seems that I still have some tears to shed..."

The gentle voice sang in sorrow...

However, it wasn't real.

It was just a vibration imitating the voice. A vibration of a speaker.
There was a bright screen illuminating parts of the room - and a single face.

The face held concern over the view that the lights produced. The face of a woman, it was. The name of Ella.

Ella was watching a movie. The DVD cover was close by her arm that lied in support of holding her head. The DVD had the iconic 'Corpse Bride' written in its ghostly form.

It was one of her favourite movies by Tim Burton, however, that obsession didn't last long ever since she'd seen 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street'.

This night of re-watching 'Corpse Bride' was simply just a night of boredom for her. That movie on her shelf was a saviour.

She recognised and smiled at the voices of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. She could only imagine the expressions they made during the recording for the characters.

Thinking of Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, her mind had unfocused from the movie and drifted into the twisted world of Sweeney Todd.

It has always been like that. She could no longer watch a movie properly with the two actors without imagining that 'What if Sweeney and Mrs Lovett were in such a situation?', 'Doesn't Victor look a bit like Benjamin Barker?' And so on...

If not for that movie, she wouldn't have started drawing again, or going on to social media and talk about it with her new mind-alike friends. Sweeney Todd's movie meant a lot to her.

Jumping, her phone vibrated, it shook the whole bed that she was on.

Ella glanced down at the glowing screen on instinct.

She almost groaned in annoyance upon such an interruption.

Her hands reached for the phone, lifting it. She found the rascal.
A notification from Tumblr.

She sighed upon seeing the notification...

It was a private message from a friend of her's, Ellie.

Despite being 'busy', Ella had opened the message, expecting some sort of rant (The usual activity from Ellie)...

But she was only left with confusion...

—WTF!

ELLA I CAN'T FUCKING BREATHE.

REMEMBER THAT SCIENCE PROJECT THAT THE WHOLE WORLD HAS BEEN TALKING ABOUT???
