Imagine Nick trying to hide the fact that he's using drugs again, and is still hanging out with Gloria.
" So where were you today?" You ask as you sipped on your vanilla milkshake. You then looked up at Nick suspiciously.
" Oh- Uh just with my friend." Nick says fiddling with his jacket a bit, not making eye contact with you.
" Gloria? " I ask as he just gets all defensive and looks away from me. " Nick; I know that Gloria and you are drug fuck buddies so you don't have to hide it." I spat at him clearly upset at the fact he's lying to you. " Why would you think that?" Nick asks you, now making eye contact with you.
" Because I just can." you say, as you don't look away from Nick and force a smile on your face. "Because I'm your best friend; and especially because I know you more than Gloria or anyone ever will." You tell him as you call the waiter for the check as Nick just stares at you.
