Before the outbreak your life was somewhat chaotic. You had a boyfriend back in Los Angles named Nick, and you thought the two of you were in love. You two used to do everything together, until Nick started to disappear more often. Of course you questioned it, and of course he ended making up a bullshit excuse when you did. Then one day you found out what your boyfriend was doing all this time; drugs. Hardcore drugs to be exact. You found out after Madison told you about it after Nick almost over dosed, and ended up in the hospital.
You were of course devastated, but you did everything in your power to help him. You did it because you thought you loved him unconditionally. Although it truly never did matter how much love you would show him your love, because the drugs were always more important. He would be on and off drugs, and disappearing for weeks/months without contacting anyone. It sadly grew on you and his family, you all tried your hardest with getting Nick help.
Then one day you got a call from Nicks sister, Alicia. You answered it hoping it wouldn't be the call that you always dreaded, that Nick was gone. But when I did answer it, she informed me about this other girl Gloria. She found out about Gloria when the cops told her that they found them in a abandoned home together, drugged. While she was on the topic she needed to tell me how she felt that I didn't deserve being treated like shit.
I was upset and confused, so I waited a few days to confront the boy in his home. And when I popped the question about Gloria, he couldn't answer me. Nick was silent, and had the look of confusion on his face. I asked him another daring question, which was about how he needed to pick who he truly wants.
Then to your surprise, he picked Gloria.
You didn't leave your apartment for a month, losing your job, and causing you to move back into your parents. You were completely heartbroken that Nick would do such a thing.
Your parents of course knew what your situation was, and was disappointed. Your parents then decided that you needed a vacation.
So your parents she siblings rented a condo in Mexico for a whole week. Somehow they got you to agree, and you all had a blast.
Well until the outbreak happened...
You and your family split up after the outbreak and re-connected a couple weeks later. But during the time of survival, you had created a self-love and determination for yourself. Luckily you and your family ended up at Cecilia's home, which was like a little community for many.
You thought the whole place full of people were odd, especially the woman who owned the home, but you grew to be okay with it.
A month later it was just you and your siblings on this world, and it drove you almost insane. The infected took your parents, and you began to wonder if the others in your life have survived so far. You thought about the family, and wondered if they were doing alright.
And who knew a few more weeks after that thought appeared in my mind, I'd be standing in front of the family themselves.
" Madison? Alicia?" I yell as they turn and give me a look of shock and surprise. As we ran to one another with open arms, I held them close.
" Oh my god, you are alive? How?" Alicia asks smiling causing me to shake my head.
" I was still in Mexico during the breakout, and my family and I met up here." I simply say as Madison tells me how glad she is too see me.
I then look up noticing Nick himself standing beside two other men, which were Travis and his son. I give a forced smile and wave over to them before actually walking over.
" Y/N! I'm glad to see you again." Travis says smiling before I nod and say the same, before eyeing Nick. They all then disappeared giving us space to talk.
"Y/N, I-I'm really s—"
" It's okay Nick, it's the past, and I moved on." I inform the boy, causing him to nod and look down at me.
" You look good."
" Thanks, it's kinda hard when you are trying to survive a dying world of flesh eating people." I comment making him laugh a bit before nodding.
" —want me to give you a tour, then we can catch up?" I ask the boy causing him to nod with a familiar smile.
