Imagine catching Troy watching you from a far, as you helped his father out on the farm with help feeding and taking care of the horses, that they had.
Ever since we got here, and found out that Travis had died on the way here, things were a bit tense. You and the Clark siblings haven't talked as much, nor Madison. You knew it was them grieving over Travis death, and them not liking the idea of them staying here, so you gave them space.
You did grieve over Travis death as well, but you decided to take your mind off of it, with something. Troys father, decided to keep you busy with taking care of the horses here. And which it surprisingly did... - Today you woke up earlier then expected, and decided to get your work finished. You were finished giving the horses water, and you were currently throwing some hay, for the horses to eat.
While picking up the last hay stack, you happened to look up seeing Troy from a far. He was just standing there, looking in my direction, while leaning on his shovel. You immediately look around to see if there was anyone else around, and there was not.
You couldn't help but blush at the fact he was staring at you. Troy was cute, but you didn't think it were to be right to like him since of what he did to Travis. But it's always was good to have a friendly face around, especially now...
You then waved over at him, smiling and you soon received one back from him. You chuckle before throwing the hay into place before walking to the clip board to mark off what you've so far completed for the day.
You then had to ride some of the horses for a couple of hours, so you then placed a saddle and rope on the white horse. You swiftly got on the horse and once you did, you happened to see Troy walking over with a smile on his face.
" Hey, Cowgirl." Troy says over to you, making you laugh and raise a eyebrow at the boy. " Hey there Sheriff." You say while smiling down at him, as you held onto the rope tighter in my hand. " You look like you need riding partner." He says over to you as you give him a small shrug, but still keeping the smile on your face.
" I don't know, I mean your dad might get upset at me for distracting you from work." You tell him as he shakes his head smiling, and crosses his arms along his chest. " Well luckily, I'm done." He says as you nod. " Lets go then." You say as he smiled and walked over to the Black horse. You watch him place a saddle on, and grabbed a rope before climbing on the horse.
You then made a clicking sound to tell the horse to start walking forward, Troy also doing the same. " Have you taken care of horses before?" He asks you, making you turn to face towards him. " No, well not until I got here; And I'm guessing you have all your life?" I say smiling over at him, as he nods. " Yep, helped my mom when she needed it- well before she passed." He tells me frowning a bit, but then looks over at me, and forces a smile. " Have you ever raced one?" I say changing the subject. "Yeah, with my brother. Why?" He asks as I smirked and shrugged my shoulders as I held on the rope a bit tighter.
" Race you to the hill, then?" I ask loudly, as I signaled the horse to run, not letting him get to answer. I looked behind me and saw him laughing, and soon races after me.
