Chapter Ten

A Ra's POV

"Mrs Park, have you taken your medicine for the night? Have you eaten your dinner?" I asked my lovely neighbor when I saw her waiting for me at the front of her house.

Mrs Park has this habit of waiting for me to come back home before going to sleep. Sometimes if I didn't tell her that I wouldn't be home for the night, she would sleep in her living room and would wake up once she hears my footsteps walking pass her house (her hearing is seriously amazing for someone her age). That's the reason why I would always tell her if I'm coming home or not when I leave my house.

"Yes dear. You know, you should take care of yourself before taking care of me dear. You're always working and doing your school work. I hardly ever see you rest," she replied me while going into her kitchen.

She came out with a few containers of food and passed them to me. "Make sure you eat these before going to school tomorrow. I'll pack you some food for you to bring to school tomorrow. Now go home and sleep. Don't do anymore school work. Rest," she told me as she sends me to my front door.

I just nodded and promised her that I would go straight to bed after washing up. Once I've seen her enter her apartment, I closed and lock my front door. I went to the kitchen straight after doing that to keep the food that Mrs Park gave me in the fridge. While I was doing that, the sound of my ringtone made me jump a little.

"Yeboseayo?" I answered my phone without looking at the caller I.D.

"Did you reach home safely? Where are you now?" So Hee's voice was so loud that I had to move the phone away from my ear.

"So Hee, I'm not deaf. I can hear you perfectly without you screaming into my ear," I said to her after taking a few seconds to recover from her loud voice a few moments ago. "I'm at home now. I managed to get the last bus service," I answered her initial questions.

While on the phone with So Hee, I start to gather my school stuff for tomorrow's class and put them a side. "Good. Don't stay up any later to do your assignments. Go and sleep," So Hee told me almost the exact same thing as Mrs Park did.

"I know. In fact, I'm getting ready for bed now," I reassured her while heading into my bedroom to change into my pyjamas. "So Hee ah, I need to hang up now. Goodnight, see you in class tomorrow," I said goodbye to So Hee before hanging up on her.

After hanging up on So Hee, I went ahead and got ready for bed. I did my night time skincare routine and hanged the clothes that I wore today. While hanging the clothes, I was reminded of Mark and the short time we spent together just now. So many things happened at the bus stop. We talked, teased each other, I even manged to exchange numbers. In such a short time, Mark managed to make me smile more than I did for the pass week.

I forget to tell you that I reached home already... so... I've reach home safe and sound...hehehe... I'm going to sleep now, I have a class tomorrow. Goodnight Mark...

I texted Mark, telling him that I've reached home safely. Before offing the lights, I texted him again, this time complimenting his performance.

Oh, you looked really cool on stage just now. I love your rap...maybe someday you can rap for me...

"I'm sorry for leaving you like that yesterday. You should've let me take you home," So Hee told me with a hint of guilt in her voice. "I shouldn't have left you alone," she continued.

"So Hee, chill. I reached home safely yesterday. You don't have to be so guilty," I reassured her.  "I'm sure that you're dying to talk to me about last night," I continued.
