The next day, the lady who I thought was going to adopt me never came. I wondered why as I ate my dinner on the porch of the Orphanage that evening.

'Maybe she changed her mind'

'Maybe it's because I can't talk'

'Why didn't she want me'

'Nobody wants me'

Thoughts just kept on coming, until they were interrupted by someone.

"Earth to Rae, earth to Rea!" Said the person.

It was Sage, my only friend here, she was staring at me with her light blue eyes, and had her medium length red hair (natural red not dyed.) was in a side braid.

"You should probably get inside, it's almost 9:00." Sage said as she walked through the front door, I nodded. Sage and I met when when I ran away from the Hawkins family house hold, there house smelled of cat pee so I ran away, I was traveling on a buss to Manhattan when she approached me, she told me that she ran away from her foster parents as well and told me that her father had died in a car crash, and she was sent to a orphanage where she got adopted. Then the child care services found us and brought us here.

I looked at my watch and It showed 8:57, and I walked inside not excited that the weekend was ending and that I had school tomorrow. I looked around the room which had a small wood dining table against the wall with a few painting up, a window to the right of the font door and a open doorway to the left of me that led upstairs. Every one had gone to bed so I decided to do the same.

That night I had a dreamless sleep like always, I don't know why but I never have dreams and when I do I forget them after I wake up.

That morning I was woken up by a bell.
A bell, Mrs.Winter never uses a bell.
I thought and decided not to question it.

I ran downstairs to see the lady I saw a few nights ago!

"Please sit down all of you." Said Mrs.Winter.
I noticed that all 12 kids were on the stairs with confused looks on there faces, then we all sat down at the table.

There was silence for a few seconds, then Mrs.Winer breaks it. " Um, every one. I would like you to meet Cora Cavaco, you will call her Mrs.Cavaco.
I am very sad to tell you but, but I will be selling the orphanage to Mrs.Cavaco."
Every one of the kids started whispering I just stood there in shock. My heart was beating out of my chest, and then something Strange happened, all the furniture started to shake, I was the only one who noticed it because it only happened for I few seconds.

"I'm am very sorry my children." She continued. "But I can't afford to look after you and the Orphanage any more." Tears were steaming down her face.

"It's alright, it's alright, I will take care of these, wonderful children." Said Mrs.Cavaco, and then looked at me and gave me an evil smirk.
"Um, alright I will be leaving in three days, and again I'm am very, very sorry." Mrs.Winter said and then went to take Mrs.Cavaco on a tour of the Orphanage.

I ran up the stair to my room and slammed the door in rage. All those years with Mrs.Winter and I only realize now how much I'm going to miss her. I started to cry, and then the shaking of the furniture started again, I looked around my room and saw that my bed was shaking like it was in an earthquake as well as my dresser then I started to freak out and it got worse and a few pictures fell down and things were getting knocked over but once I calmed down it stopped.
'Did I do that?' I thought.

There was a knock on the door and then someone came in. "Hey, you ok, and what was all that banging about?" I look up from the floor on which I was crying on and saw Sage there. 'Nothing and Ya I'm fine.' I signed. Sage was the only one here who know sign language, I taught her it after we met, I tried teaching Mrs.Winter but she couldn't get it. "C'mon get dressed, we've got school." She continued and walk out to let me get dressed.

I went to my dresser and pulled out a pair of ripped jeans, a lose blue t-shirt, a black hoodie and my red high tops and put it on, then I grabbed my blue back pack and went downstairs and Sage and I went to the bus stop to go to school.

I skipped breakfast because a wasn't hungry, I was still sad that Mrs.Winter is selling, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do.

"Your zoning out again." Said Sage as we got in the buss.

'I know, I do it a lot.' I sign.

"It's ok, do you happen to be thinking about this morning?"
She says as we sit down in the back of the bus.

'It's like you read my mind.' I sign and give a sarcastic look.

"I'm sad to but it might be kind of nice to have a change, right?" She says and looks at me waiting for an answer.

'I guess?' I sign.

The rest of the drive to school was ok, the kids were extremely loud today, I don't get how they can talk so much seeing as I don't.

Then the worst part came, Camille Huston the most popular girl in the school entered the bus, today she wore a pair of pink Jeans with a grey tight shirt and a white leather jacket and clearly had a spray tan just done, she had her died purple hair in a messy bun, then sat behind us with her boyfriend Caleb Brown. His blond hair was buzzed cut and he wore a green shirt to match his green cargo pants to match his green eyes.

My schedule that day was fairly good I had Math at 9:00 with Sage, English at 10:00 with Camille, science at 10:30 with Sage and Caleb, lunch break at 11:30, Gym at 1:00 and Geography at 2:00 with all of them.

After school I went straight to my room not wanting to talk to Mrs.Winter and  listened to music and read a book.
