The Milky Way

48 23 12

Thy gaze was utterly seized,
Time was at a standstill.
Its beauty was a feast,
An ocean above the hill.

The view of reflections:
Who are you, scarred warrior?
Among the endless options,
What greets you in the mirror?

The moment you realized
Your own insignificance,
The truth has you paralized,
Facing such magnificence.

But it also makes you think
In awe and surrender.
The heart, it does not sink,
Being a part of such wonder.

There was a smile on your lips
And glimmer in your wide eyes.
The stream of diamonds,
Floating in the night skies.

You feel small yet excited
To see what lies beyond.
A heart is ignited,
Your armor is donned.

You have witnessed God's creation
As it's displayed in the heavens.
Felt his greatness and devotion
And suddenly life made sense.

It was as if you heard Him say
That you were like the milky way.
"Who created thee, created me.
Therefore, I am a masterpiece."
