I should have noticed the signs that were there
But I unconsciously chose to turn away.
Maybe because, deep down, I wanted to fall for you.
You see, I was an empty person with no sincere feelings of my own.
The humanity in me was depraved and hungry.
Longing for that which was essential to the soul.
Bit by bit, that seedling grew without my notice
Until the roots firmly took hold of me.
My mind was reeling when you took over my dreams.
