It's been almost three years since Hikari was abducted, and now she's ready to escape. However, it seems too easy to escape the Akatsuki. What will Hikari do when she learns they are after Naruto? She doesn't care. She's just happy to see the cluele...
It was only moments before I had to evade another attack, which gave away the identity of the user before I saw his face. As I slid to a stop, this time staying on my feet, I began laughing maniacally.
"It's a Team 7 reunion!" I kept laughing as Sasuke looked at me in shock as if he hadn't been expecting it to be me. "What's the matter, scaredy cat?" His eyes narrowed and he was silent as he came towards me. It was simple to evade his katana, and I managed to kick his arm, causing it to go dead. He jumped backward as my fist came down, sending pieces of the earth into the air.

I pulled my fist from the ground as I watched him backflip away and slide to a stop. I growled as his eyes started glowing red, but I focused chakra into my hands, feeling the flames form. The scared look on his face made me smile.
"HIKARI!" I looked up just in time to dodge a giant toad. The flames went out as I crouched on all fours. I felt my canines and nails grow, and my thoughts were starting to slip. It didn't matter who they were, they were in my way.
SASUKE POV
I stayed silent as Naruto shouted at what looked like Hikari, but I knew she was lost right now. She was on the ground like some kind of animal, growling at us. Kakashi had looked at me but said nothing, likely to not distract Naruto. Not that I cared. I stood behind a group of trees as I watched them engage her in battle, but it was easy to see that she was more powerful. They were being batted around like toys, and I was having problems tracking her. Then there was that black fire from before. How? I thought that was only accessible to the Uchiha. No, I couldn't think about that yet. I needed to watch her more, along with the shinobi that resembled the Sanin Jiraiya. He was standing back as well, but I couldn't determine why just yet. Naruto was now pleading with Hikari to snap out of it, and I was trying to tune him out when evil laughter cut into all of my senses. I looked up and straight into her eyes.
"Naruto, we should ask Sasuke out for lunch." My eyes widened as I felt her chakra soar through the clouds, causing the ground to compress beneath her. The twisted smile on her face told me everything, and I saw her hand twitch. I was almost too late to block her blow, so instead of countering with Chidori, her fist connected with my unprotected hand and forced me to sink a couple inches into the ground.
"Sasuke," I heard that innocent whisper from behind me, but what made me angry was the look on her face. She was enjoying this! I clenched my jaw and attempted some taijutsu, but she dodged everything so easily, which only made me angrier and sloppier. She laughed again as I felt those claw-like nails against my neck, digging in and ready to tear me apart.
"It was nice to see you again," she whispered and I braced myself, but the pressure from her nails left my neck as I watched a raven dive bomb into her face. It was surreal as I turned to see that familiar long hair land between me and the girl who once had been human. Now a black aura surrounded her body as her face scrunched into a snarl. I couldn't move as I was flooded with emotions I swore I would never feel again, and two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back from the firefight about to ensue. I landed with my back against a tree as black chakra exploded with a demonic cry. I watched Itachi disappear, and I looked to the left to see him along with Kakashi and Jiraiya. They were talking quickly while Hikari was still seething in anger. Naruto was to my right, and I hesitated to look at him, but when I did he wasn't even looking at me. Instead, I saw something that took me back to our Genin days. His face said angry, but his eyes said sadness and I could even see a tear. His gaze turned to me without changing expression, which shocked me.
"I don't care what you do after this, but help me save her."
