Okay, so for this chapter, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you about all 30 characters as a reference point. (Their names, ages, medallions, Wards, and powers) I won't be spoiling anything, because at this point in the story, everyone has at least an idea of their powers. Toward the end, I am also going to retell the virtues of each Ward, and give a little history of how the Wards came to be. (And how the Wards go from 10 to 13, cuz why not?)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This book is set up wayyyy in the future. Like, the post WW5 future. After the war, population went from billions to half a million. All the countries except a good chunk of Europe had been completely annihilated, so each World Leader (13 at the time) came to the decision to move their people to a designated part in Europe. The people made up a Ward (which was larger than a city, but smaller than a state) and all the Wards made up the country Prosperity. People continued living and speaking their native tongue (that's how languages never died) and were free to move throughout Wards. It was this way for a long time, until a Philosopher brought up the Theory of virtue. The theory stated that war could be prevented with a population focusing on and obeying only one human virtue. The current World Leaders, who wanted to prevent another World War (like the original World leaders), believed this a break through in human nature, so they each chose one virtue that they believed superior above the rest.
Soon, all the Ward started shutting out the others, believing that they were filled with ignorant people who followed "wrong" virtues. The World Leaders were suddenly dubbed "Keepers of Virtue", and were considered masters of their virtue. Schools taught kids that their virtues were better than the rest, and that the keepers were basically gods. Most wards thrived, but as time passed on, the certain Wards faces hardships. The Ward of Dominance went through a drought, and attacked the Ward of Peace for their land and water. Both wards ended up destroyed, and forgotten. During the chaos, the Ward of Hope went off the charts. People believed it destroyed along with the eleventh and twelfth Ward, while others thought it absorbed them. Either way, We are brought to the current time in the story, where more will be revealed.
