After class, I hurried out, I wasn't scared, I just didn't want to get caught up in that situation. Sammy has a reputation, Despite being only a year older than me ( He's a sophomore ) He's known. I don't want to be affiliated with him, Or anyone who runs with him. He's messy.
That day, Like all the others, Passed quickly. I went home. My Mom laid on the couch, Drinking ( As usual ) I passed her and went into my room. I don't like to be around her...I try to avoid her as much as possible.

I was laying in bed on my phone, When I heard my name being called. Within seconds, My Mother bursts through my door. She nearly fell. I knew she was drunk.
"Jailyn, I had two bottles of vodka left, Where they at?" She slurred. Really? A fifteen year old, Drinking vodka.
"I don't know, They're in the same place you put them" I said simply. I usually don't respond, But I did, And that's how it started.
Minutes later, She was punching me. That wasn't abnormal either. Most of the time, I tried to dodge her hits rather than block them. But it's hard to dodge or block when she's pounding on top of you.
I pushed her away, She stumbled backward and fell. Taking the time I'd bought, I dove out my window. I only had my phone... Running through the yard, I cut through the alley to get to the main street.
My head hurt, But I was relatively okay. I knew I'd have to go to Lisa's because Jason is working... As I walked, I felt something wet in my nose, Wiping it, I left a small smudge of blood on the side of my hand. Great. I needed something to wipe my nose. I was almost at the corner store, So I figured I'd get it there.
As I approached the store, I seen a group of guys standing in front of it. One of whom I recognized to be Sammy... Fantastic. I needed something for my nose, But I also had a shirt, I'll be fine. I turned quickly and rerouted, But not before being noticed and catching someone's attention.
"Aye!" A voice called from behind me. Of course, I assumed they were talking to someone else, So I continued walking. "Jailyn" The voice repeated. I stopped and turned to see Sammy smirking as he jogged toward me.
His smile faded as he got to me. I guess he noticed my face.
"What d'you want?"-
" Nothin', I jus', You 'Aight?"-
"I'm fine"-"I gotta go"I said before rushing away. That was embarrassing. If my day wasn't bad enough. Now everybody at school is going to know my business... I don't have time for people asking questions either, So I just decided to stay home from school the next day. By home, I mean Lisa's.
" You're gonna have a lil' spot on your lip and above your eye, But you'll be Aight. I gotta go t'work, If you need something, Call or text me"She said before leaving.
I settled in on the couch. Looking in the reflection of my front camera, I groaned. She said a "lil" spot...

I laid on the couch in the living room, Eating and chilling. Someone knocked on the door, I assumed it was mail, Or something Lisa ordered.
I got up and answered the door. I was surprised to see Sammy. Why was he here? What did he want?
"Aye" He greeted, Half smiling.
"Hi" I said awkwardly. "What're you doin' here?" I asked, I wasn't trying to be rude, Wait, Yeah I was. Because I knew why he was here- For the drama.
"I jus' wanted t'see if you was 'Aight, I ain't wanna"-
" I told you I was fine"-
"You lied" He said. Was he calling me out? Wait...What?
"Believe whatever you want" I said before closing the door. What was I suppose to do? He had a lot of gaul to come up to my house ( I mean, It's Lisa's, But, Same difference ) and talk like he knows me. The more I thought about it, it made me mad. I knew he didn't care. Why would he? He's got plenty of hoes...He doesn't need me. That's how I knew there was some alterior motive.
