SAMMY

"The twelves"She answered quietly. Shawty was really cute. AND she knows a Lil sum about shoes...

I reached up and grabbed the shoe off its shelf. I glanced down at her feet...

"What size are you?"I asked, Noticing the huge size difference between the shoe and her foot. But they were in men's size.

"Five and a half"She answered simply. Her voice was quiet. I was just trying to get them digits...But there was something off about her. Like, It wasn't bad, But it was different...

"I'll go get you some"I spoke before turning around and going to the counter.

JAILYN

I watched as he took the shoe and went off to the counter. He was tall,  Cute and nice? Something was off. My theory was proven when I spotted his friends off to the side...Hm.

"Jailyn"Jason's voice caused me to jump as I stood.

"Jason"-

"Hey, Did you find what you wanted?"
He asked, glancing around. Just as I was going to answer, That guy came back.

"Aye, They ain't have'em in yo'size"He said, Holding the shoe out. He glanced between Jason and I, And things got really awkward...

"Did you want them? I got them early, That was what I was gonna have us pick up. An early birthday present" He said. I'd obviously spoiled his plan...  Oops. The kid looked at me, Almost embarrassed.

He simply walked away... It was because of Jason. Did he think...? He must've. Well, That's embarrassing...

SAMMY

"Did you get'a?"Trell asked as I met them outside the store.

"Nah...She got sum"I said, Low-key disappointed. But, I wasn't going to let anybody know that. I got plenty of hoes on call, I'm straight.

* Later on that day *

"I think I'm ready"I spoke, Noticing the amount of bags I had. I-Jason must have spent a thousand dollars. Okay, I overestimated, Maybe not a thousand, But at least three hundred.

"Mom said bring you home t'night" He spoke as he drove. I didn't want to, But there was no point in fighting it, Creating more problems between me and Jason... He's all I got.

Minutes later, He pulled up to the house. I could see the t.v illuminating the living room. We got food after the mall, So we got back around six.

Jason led the way into the house, We were both holding bags. I ignored my Mother as she laid, Knocked out on the couch. The living room reeked of liquor and the front door was unlocked...So much for safety.

"Look, Jus' let Mom sleep, Monday,  I'll be here to pick you up for school..."-I nodded yes, Accepting his statement.
"Call or text me whenever...Okay"-He got in front of me, Causing me to smile. "Okay?"-

"Okay!"I agreed, Chuckling. He knows me so well... He hugged me before he left. Leaving me by myself. The next time I would be seeing him is Monday,
On my first day of highschool. No,  I'm not excited. I've always hated school. I'm not very smart, I guess. And I have anger issues, Which don't exactly help
with my interactions with people...

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I groaned in annoyance, Knowing today is the day. School...I mean, I guess it's not THAT bad. Yeah, It kind of is. You got big headed boys who think they're the stuff, And then you have the hoes.

Not for me in particular, There's the two levels of hoeism.

Level 1: This is the top notch, Everyone knows their name, Give head for fun type hoes. Always thirsty, Got ' a man' but always got 'options'. Always trying to fight somebody. Test everybody's patience. No class, Real loud, Ratchet...

Level 2: These are the Semi-hoes, Hoes none the less, They're low-key. Don't nobody know their business. You're lucky if you get to be with them type...

I will be one hundred percent honest and put myself in neither of those groups. I actually don't have a boyfriend. Never have. Boys haven't really shown me interest. If they do, It's a joke. I'm a joke.

Snapping myself out of my thoughts, I got back to getting ready for prison. After taking a shower, And doing my hygiene, I got dressed.

As I got my shoes on, I got a text from Jason:

BrotherBear: Ima be over in 20

I gave him a thumbs up before I continued getting ready. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and grabbed my phone before I left.

My Mom was passed out on the couch.
I walked past her and her mess out the front door, Where Jason in his car waited for me. I made sure not to express any sign of happiness. Not that I'd have a reason to.

"You excited?"Jason spoke up as he drove.

"No"I said as I checked my reflection on my phone.

"You nervous?"-

"Nope"-

"You sure?"-

"Positive"-In my defense, It was like six in the morning, I'm not really a morning person. At all.
