Ques leaving had more of an effect on me than I thought...Over the next few weeks it was hard to adjust without him. I didn't look at anyone else the same. I didn't want to go to school, so I didn't. Which granted me truancy. Lisa had to go to court with me about it too. So, Now, I can't skip school, unless I want to end up at the detention center.
"Jailyn Marie"Lisa spoke, coming into my room. I looked up at her from my bed. I was taking a nap... "Somebody's at the door f'you"She revealed. I was definitely confused. I didn't have friends. I came to the door to see Jojo. We had like one class together, and we were partners for a project, that I didn't do by the way.
"Hey"-
"What do you want?"I asked rather rudely.
"I-I jus' wanted to see if you wanted t'come to this party"She asked, looking down. She was nice, and I felt bad about being rude too.
"Yeah"I answered, it surprised her. She looked up at me curiously. "I'ma go get ready"I said, standing up straight. She nodded before I closed the door. I quickly got dressed. I told Lisa where I was going, of course she let me go, but I think she was just happy to see me wanting to go somewhere.
"Who's gonna be there?"I asked as we walked on the street.
"Trajae, Malik, Sammy"-
"Sammy?"I questioned.
"Yeah, why?"-
"No reason"I shrugged. I lied. He's been hitting my phone and i've been ignoring him. I don't have time for boys...Not unless they're Ques. Just thinking about him made me want to cry. I needed to get over this. That's exactly what I planned to do at this party.
