Sakura sat casually, leaning her back on one of the pillars around the Uchiha compound, and watched the blood spray. Itachi flickered in and out of her sight, stabbing and swiping, eyes a deep blood red. He darted off down an alley, a few shrieks were heard, and then he was back. Without a glance to the pinkette, he stepped over the bodies and toward the main house. Sakura didn't make a move to go after him, and merely observed when he returned with Sasuke chasing. Mangekyo blazed, and the youngest Uchiha collapsed.

Itachi turned away from him, and came face to face with Sakura Haruno instead. His sharingan faded, and he sighed. "You weren't supposed to see this."

She fought the urge to roll her eyes. "But I did." Her posture remained relaxed, but her shoulders tensed slightly. "What are you going to do about it?"

Itachi blinked. "You...aren't going to try to stop me?"

Now Sakura really did roll her eyes. "Oh for Kami's sake. One, that would be pointless because you are way stronger than me. Two, this isn't the only thing I've seen and heard that I wasn't supposed to, you'll find the ventilation shafts in the Hokage tower are quite convenient. Three, I don't need to have to deal with that baka Danzo when he finds out I saw things I shouldn't have seen."

Itachi blinked. She had just complimented him, given him an explanation for most of her odd behavior, told him that she knew about his top secret orders, and was acting like they were discussing dinner options. Then again, she was Sakura Haruno, the girl no one ever seemed to notice. Why was he surprised?

"Well then, are you going to leave or not?" Sakura folded her arms.

      "I am." Itachi confirmed.

"And you weren't going to say goodbye to me, were you?"

       "...no."

In a blink, she was gone. Itachi tensed, ready for a fight, but was taken off gaurd when arms wrapped around his torso. "You're an inconsiderate baka." Sakura muttered. "But kami, I'm going to miss you."

Itachi hugged her back. "I'll miss you too, Sakura-chan."

She pulled back after a few minutes and slammed her fist into his gut. As he gasped for air she snickered. "That's for leaving me to clean up your messes."

      "Fair enough." Itachi croaked.

She turned around, and he watched the white circle on her back. "Now, go before I decide to keep you."

He nodded, though of course she didn't see him, and disappeared.

Sakura turned back to the body littered street. "Bye."
