Chapter 10

My heart stopped. I felt my head spinning so fast and I couldn’t think of anything else. I couldn’t even cry. I was in so much pain and worry that I couldn’t move either. Tony helped me get up and a nurse led us down the long hallway. It felt like we were walking forever before the nurse pointed to at a door. I put my hand on the cold metal door handle and twisted it. I pushed it open the door and cautiously walked… I didn’t want to look up in case I saw something I regretted. I lifted my eyes up and I couldn’t move.

Mollie was playing with the IV tubes on her arm with a frustrated look on her face.

“Mollie!” I screamed and ran towards her. A huge smile formed on my face and I bent down wrapping my arms around her. I felt her wince at my touch and I pulled away quickly.

“I’m so sorry Mollie! I’m just so happy you’re okay! I was so worried and you were all I could think about and I didn’t think you were going to make it and-.” She stopped me from mumbling by pressing her lips against mine. I was longing for the feeling of her lips on mine and to feel her with me right now is everything I could ever ask for. She put her hand on my face and pulled away with a big smile on her face.

“I know Vic. I’m okay.” She replied keeping the smile on her face. Then she saw Tony and her smile grew bigger. She threw her arms in the air motioning for him to come and hug her. He stumbled over to her and gave her a hug holding her for a couple minutes before pulling away.

“I missed you kid.” Tony said softly.

“I missed you too Tony.” She said smiling. “Hey where’s Mikayla?” She asked. Tony and I just looked at each other. Tony’s expression changed to being sad again. Mollie frowned and crossed her arms.

“Guysssss, hello? Where’s Mikayla I want to see her.” She demanded.

“Um Mollie… Mikayla is in another room… She got hurt really bad… I don’t know if she’s going to make it… They said they were losing her when they brought her in…” I said in the nicest way possible. Tony stayed silent and put his head down looking at his shoes. Tears formed in Mollies eyes and she looked so miserable.

“W-what…?” She asked confused. Her voice was shaky.

“She went after Ash after they put you in the ambulance and she came out bleeding from her head really bad… All she said was that Ash and her friends left… She didn’t mention anything about what Ash did to her.” I explained softly. By now the tears were pouring down her face as I told her everything.

“Where is she?! I have to go find her!” She screamed while struggling to get out from under the covers. Tony and I ran towards her and forced her to lay back down.

“Get off me! I have to go find her!” She screamed again. We kept her down while she struggled to try and get up again. Then her emotion immediately changed from angry to sad. Tears rapidly fell down her face and she was screaming.

“Fuck! Why did this happen to me?! Why?! What did I ever do?! Poor Mikayla too! All she was doing was trying to help!” She screamed. Then her eyes locked onto mine and she narrowed them.

“This is your fault!” She hissed and pointed at me. I backed up a little in shock.

“Mollie, I-.” She interrupted me before I could say anything more.

“Shut up Vic! This is all your fault! Get out! Get out now!” She screamed and pointed to the door.

“Wait but Mollie I-!” Then nurses and security guards burst in the door looking around to see what was going on. They saw Mollie crying and Tony and I standing there.
