The First Punch

Chapter 8

~MIKAYLAS POV~

I woke up by the door clicking open. I yawned and sat up. My vision was blurry from just waking up so I rubbed my eyes. Then I heard a loud thud and I blinked away the sleep. I saw Mollie laying on the floor with Ash standing over her. I ran over to Mollie and kneeled to see if she was okay.

Then I felt my blood start boiling. All the memories from that day started flooding back with Vic kissing Ash and then Ash showing me the picture of her and Tony making out. I clenched my hands and stood up. Before I could do anything I saw her fist come flying towards my face. I stumbled back a little before falling to the ground next to Mollie. The next thing I knew is I was being picked up. I looked over at Mollie to see her eyes slowly flutter shut. I closed my eyes to give the allusion I passed out too.

We were thrown into the car. There were two people to either side of me. I didn’t know who they were I just felt the presser of them next to me. The car started and I could feel us pull away I squinted my eyes a little so I could see everything around me. Ash was driving and Mollie was sitting to the right of me. Another person was sitting next to me but I couldn’t make out who it was. Another person was sitting in the passenger’s seat next to Ash but I couldn’t tell who that was either.

“Put the duct tape over their mouths and the ropes around their hands for when they wake up.” Ash said to the person next to me. I closed my eyes again so no one would notice. I heard the duct tape getting ripped and then placed over my mouth. I felt the other person start to wrap the ropes around my wrists.

I snapped open my eyes and pulled my hands away from each other so the rope couldn’t tie. I hit the girl next to me in the face with my elbow and then crawled over them reaching the door handle. I pulled the handle and pushed the door open. I was about to jump out of the door before someone caught my hand. I yanked it away but they kept grabbing me. I flung myself forward and almost fell out of the car. The door was wide open and my face was a couple inches away from the ground. Ash was still driving the car as fast as she could.

I could feel the wind sweeping past my face. I pulled myself back into the car and punched the girl in the face again. Her nose started bleeding really bad and she covered her face. Mollie woke up but was still groggy. She realized what was going on and snapped out of it. She was panicking. Her mouth was taped over and her hands were tied.

“Mollie we have to jump out of the car! Open your side of the door!” I screamed at her.

“Hey! Don’t let them get away!” Ash screamed at the girl in the front seat. The girl got out of her seat and jumped into the back pinning Mollie down and grabbing my ankle. I kicked out of her grip and lost my balance. I was about to fall out of the car so I tucked myself and jumped out of the car rolling into the street. I laid there in pain. There was blood everywhere and gravel was in the cuts of my body. I curled myself into a ball trying to stop the pain. There were no other cars around except Ash’s that was speeding away.

I gained every bit of energy I had left and stood up. Blood was dripping all down my body and onto the pavement. I managed to trudge through the streets finally getting back to me and Mollies house. When I got there I collapsed in the street in front of the house. Then a bright flash lit up the night sky followed by a ground shaking boom. Then rain started pouring. I sat in the street letting the rain wash my body. I looked up at the sky and the rain washed some of the blood off of my face. I wiped my face and looked over and saw Vic’s car in the driveway. Then it hit me… Vic!

I got myself up again and tried running inside the house with a little limp. I burst through the door.

“Jaime! Mike!” I screamed through the house. I looked over and saw Vic, Jaime, Tony, and Mike all sitting on the floor staring at me.

~VICS POV~

I stared at Mikayla in disbelief. She looked terrible. There was blood everywhere. It was dripping down her arms and her face, her legs were cut up and bruised too not to mention her cheekbone was bruised too.

“M-Mikayla…” Tony said. I looked over at him and his face showed complete worry and scarce. He seemed frozen and he couldn’t move. Then he shot up from the floor and ran over to Mikayla pulling her into a hug. She jolted and jumped pushing Tony back and letting out a scream.

“Fuck!” She screamed holding her arms.

“Mikayla I-I’m so sorry.” He stepped back away from her.

“It’s fine. I’m fine. Look Mollie is in trouble. It’s Ash.” Mikayla said.  With every word she said her face filled with pain.

“Wait Mikayla before we do anything, tell us everything.” Jaime said sympathetically. Mikayla explained everything to us. We all listened closely not missing a detail.

“I’m going to fucking kill her.” Mike spat out.

“I’ll help.” Jaime replied. Tony and I just stood there. I was in shock. There were all these things running through my head and I couldn’t process any of them. I have to go find her. I have to help her.

“Let’s go. Jaime, do you know where Ash lives?” I demanded. I was determined to find her. I need her back.  

“Yes.” Jaime said. He seemed determined too. Mollie made a huge change in our lives and we have to help her. We all ran out to the car. Mikayla fell on her way out. I could tell she was getting weaker. She was still dripping blood but she refused for us to help her. She wanted to help Mollie as much as we did.

We quickly drove to Ash’s house and pulled into the driveway. Mikayla and I ran up to the door and I banged on it as loud as I could. I didn’t have a plan I just went with it. Ash opened the door and when she saw me she smiled. Mikayla was hiding a little behind me so I don’t think Ash cared to see who it was.

“Come back for more Vic?” She asked with a twisted smile. I pushed through her without saying a word and stormed inside the house looking around. Mikayla followed behind me.

“You bitch!” Ash hissed at Mikayla. She lashed at Mikayla using her nails to dig into Mikayla’s skin and wounds. Mikayla fell to the floor and I ran over to her blocking her from Ash.

“Fine!” Ash screamed. Then her hand flew across my face. I felt the burn and I bent over holding my face. When I pulled my hand away there was blood on it. That bitch clawed my face. The guys came in and saw what was going on Jaime ran behind Ash holding her hands while Mike escorted her to the couch. She tried getting away but Jaime and Mike had her pinned down.

I got up and turned towards Mikayla. She was bleeding a lot, worse than she was before. All her wounds were open and dripping everywhere. Tony and I offered her help but she refused and struggled to get up but eventually did without me or Tony’s help. We walked down a hallway twisting every door handle. We got to the end of the hallway to find a locked wooden door.

“Tony help me break the door down!” I screamed. We started ramming ourselves up against the door. Finally it flew open. When I looked around tears formed in my eyes.

Mollie was sitting on the floor unconscious in a pool of blood tied to the bed frame with tape around her mouth.
