With the help of google and Louis' GPS, they arrive at a small restaurant on the outskirts of town. It's small, dainty and warm with the strong scent of coffee filling their nostrils as they enter.

Louis makes his way to a booth at the back of the shop next to a large window.

He pulls the wooden chair out for Harry before resuming to pull one out for his own. Immediately a small waitress bounces over with an apron and a notepad on her hand, she flips to a fresh page before asking what they would like to order.

Louis turns to face her, catching a glimpse of a nervous Harry through his peripheral vision.

He turns towards Harry, locking their ankles together under the table, trying to remind him that he's here, he's here with him and he won't leave him alone. Everything's alright.

"What do you want, Haz?" Louis can feel Harry's leg shaking against his under the table but he manages to get his order out with less traits I nervousness in his voice as possible.

"So that would be a latte," the waitress repeats Harry's order, jogging it down in a small scrawl in her notepad. "Would you like to order anything else?"

Louis shakes his head with a smile and turns his head as soon as the waitress tucks her pen behind her ear and disappears behind the front counter.

Harry is staring at him with confusion in his face. "You're not going to order anything for yourself?"

Louis shakes his head. "Nah. I'm not really hungry and it's better for me to not eat so early before getting home so I can eat my dinner and not cause any suspicion, you know?"

Okay, it's not a complete lie. Louis is hungrier than he's ever been but he does have to cause as less suspicion as possible for when his feather arrives home and they sit down to have dinner.

Harry doesn't seem like he completely understands but before he can ponder the thought any longer, the waitress walks over with a latte in her hand and places it in front of Harry.

Louis can see Harry absentmindedly fiddling with his bracelets from under the table and he sighs.

Harry notices and immediately a deep blush tints his cheeks red.

"I'm j-just waiting for it to cool down a little," Harry explains in a low tone, pointing at the coffee with a long, pale finger.

"It's okay," Louis whispers from across the table and harry gives him a thankful look before picking his coffee cup up and taking a small sip of the smoldering hot liquid. He pulls a face when he burns the tip of his tongue, his eyes go incredibly wide and then close tightly.

Louis snorts into the back of his hand stifling the cackle that wants to erupt from inside him because he thinks Harry is the biggest dork he's ever met.

Harry gives him a pointed look after recovering, but not even he can keep the facade for longer than a second. Suddenly they're both chuckling at each other from across the table. There is a sparkle in Harry's eyes that seems to cover up the sadness that always lingers somewhere and Louis heart has never raced so fast in his life.

After Harry finishes his latte they pay for the coffee and return to Louis' car.

The atmosphere has completely changed around them. The air seems thicker and the sky is covered with dark clouds.
