Back in the void... this place felt like home. Felt safe. Nothing can hurt me here... or so I thought. All was quiet as usual in the void. But something began to change. Glowing white dust floated around me. They looked like stars in the night sky. I heard a calming humming sound. The void came alive. Blue, red, green and yellow beams of light lit up the dark. I didn't wanna leave the void anymore. I almost didn't care what's happened to me. Or why I was "asleep". I all but forgot about the dangers that chased me in these dreams. I hardly wanted to go home now... something about this place was comforting.

As I gazed upon the beauty of the now color filled void, I heard multiple voices. I couldn't make out any words other than them saying my name. I felt something on my cheek for a quick moment. But nothing was there. Then felt like something was cuddled against me. It felt like an arm was wrapped around my chest. I felt even more happy now. But soon, the sensation left, along with all the lights. Everything went dark yet again. Now, I felt a dark presents looming around me. I heard the noise of a jack in the box being wound. The song got slower and slower until it stopped...

I floated down into a old, rundown town. It was dark. Bright stars dominating the sky as there was no moon this night. I was in the middle of the road. Not a soul in sight. Only a few street lights lit the road ahead. The rest of the poles were destroyed and had fallen to the ground. "Where am I?" I whispered to myself. I heard a little girls laugh then the screeching of tires followed by the sound of a crash. I jumped and looked around but saw nothing. I began to walk down the street to find the source of the noise.

"Hello?" I called out "is anyone out there?". Of course there was no response. I walked around the block and saw an old rusted 1947 Chevy Convertible. Smoke was coming from under the hood and the bumper was dented. The windshield was smashed and had blood on it. I rushed over to it to see if anyone was still alive, but there was no one in the car. I searched for whoever got hit by the car but again, I saw no one. Only tiny, bloody footprints walking away from the crash. The foot prints were no larger than my index finger. What child that small could survive being hit by a car?

I followed it a few houses down until it turned into a run down houses driveway. "Maybe... the child lives here?" I thought. I walked up to the doorstep and put my ear to the scratched up wooden door. The only thing I heard was a creaking noise, like a rocking chair on a wooden floor. I thought for a moment and lightly knocked on the door "hello?" I called out "I... saw a car wreck just down the road... I saw bloody foot prints leading to your house... are you alright?" I asked. I felt stupid asking. This is how all horror movies started. I sighed and grabbed hold of the door handle and twisted it.

It was unlocked. I pushed it open slowly and peaked my head in "H-hello?" My voice quivered. I heard whispers all around me as I took a step in. It was almost as dark as the void in here. I walked along a corridor, my hand on the wall searching for a light switch. After a minute, my hand hit something. "Finally!" I shouted and flicked on the light. I looked forward down the hall. To the right, there was an open doorway that seemed to lead into the family room. And just across the hall from it was the kitchen and dining room. I turned around to look at the front door. The hall I had passed down had peeling wall paper and ripped up carpet. I had walked about ten to fifteen feet until I reached the switch "why is the switch so far down the hall?" I whispered to myself.

I heard the pitter patter of small feet behind me. I turned around just in time to see a small figure running from the kitchen into the living room. I gasped and jumped back a few feet. "Nope!" I headed for the door but... it was gone. "What the..." I looked towards the family room and saw a little head peaking around the corner. When it realize I spotted it, it hid. "Hey little um... fella... are you okay? I'm not gonna hurt you..." I slowly walked around the corner. It was dark in this room as well. I saw a switch beside me and I turned it on. As the room lit up, I saw a horrifying doll sitting straight up on a wooden chair in the middle of the room. "I hate dolls..." I whispered as I walked toward it. It was a clown doll as well "ugh... even worse..." it had red poofy hair and a white painted face. It had a red ball nose with red cheeks. White and red were the only colors on this thing. White clothes with red accents to it. But what stood out to me was a swirling mark on its forehead. This was no normal, cute looking clown. This looked evil with a demonic smile on it's face.

"I'm just gonna go now..." I turned around and was gonna try to find an exit but I froze dead in my tracks as I heard the pattering of feet behind me. I snapped my head around to see where the noise was coming from. The doll was gone. I quickly ran back down the hall towards where the front door last was. I banged on the wall pleading to be let out. "Oh Jason..." I heard a deep voice call from behind me. My heart dropped. "You can't leave yet..." I didn't wanna turn around. My feet began to move against my will. I couldn't control my movements. At the end of the hall, stood the clown with a twisted smile. It let out a loud, high pitched laugh and ran towards me.

I scream and banged on the wall to be let out. I suddenly started falling through the wall. The void! Finally I'm gonna be safe... but before I fell into the darkness, the clown grabbed my ankle "leaving so soon Jason?" It pulled me back up into the hall and threw me against the wall. "How did it feel Jason? To fail her?" It asks in its deep voice. "F-fail who?" I whispered "Jessie..." it said. "Jessie..." it said her name over and over. Inching closer to my face. Who was Jessie!?

I pushed it off of me. The doll laughed as it fell to the ground. I got up and ran into the family room. There was a staircase to my left once I entered the room that wasn't there before. I ran up to it but I was slowed by something. It felt like my world was in slow motion. I could hear the patter of the dolls feet behind me. I turned my head around and the doll was in mid-air right behind me, it's arms were inches from me. As the plastic of its hands touches my back, I fell through the floor. Back into the safety of the void...
