--Your POV--
"Blue! Red!" My eyes lit up. The two boys turned around, and smiled. "(Y/N)! We thought you would come here!" Blue did his signature salute thing, and Red waved. I ran up to them and hugged them "How have you guys been? You both look great!" My face was at their chests, since they were considerably taller than me. (Now look, in this book, Red's vocal cords never froze.) Red patted me on the head "Hey! How's your Charizard doing?" I let go of them "He's doing great! How's yours?" Red pulled out a Pokeball, "He's doing great! He's really getting a hang of that Mega Evolution!" I heard Gladion clear his throat behind me. I turned around, and blushed. "Oh yeah!" I walked towards him and he put an arm around my waist. "Guys, this is Gladion! He's my boyfriend!" I pecked him on the cheek, and rubbed my head on his arm. "Well..." Red walked up, with THAT look in his eyes. I backed up, as Red sized up Gladion. Now, Gladion is quite tall, like about 3-5 inches taller than me, but Red is taller, by like 2-3 inches. "Are you taking good care of (Y/N)? Cause if you're not..." He pulled out a Ultra Ball, "I won't hesitate to use this one." I ran up and grabbed Red. "Red! Chill out! Of course he's taking care of me!" Red chuckled, and put his Pokeball back in his bag. "I'm just kidding man. Glad to meet you." He patted Gladion on the shoulder, and walked back, standing next to Blue.
Gladion walked up to me. "What's up with that guy?" He whispered to me. "Don't worry, he was always a joker, but he is kinda overprotective of me." I laughed. I turned back to Red and Blue, "Why are you guys here?" "Why, we're the leaders of the Battle Tree!" Blue said, turning his body, presenting the Battle Tree. "Wow... I don't even know what to say! How strong are you guys now?" "Well..." Blue chuckled, "Why don't we find out!" He pulled out a Pokeball, and Red pulled out a Great Ball. "Wait, a double battle?" I turned to Gladion, and he shrugged. "Yep! We wanna battle both you AND your boyfriend!" Gladion's eyes widened. "What do you say Gladi? You wanna battle alongside me?" I pulled out Decidueye's Pokeball. Gladion pulled out Weavile's and smirked "Yeah, let's do this."
--Time skip to like, the end of the battle--
"Gladion... how are we gonna win this?" I was panting, and Charizard was my only Pokemon left, and Gladion only had Silvally left, with only 20 HP. Charizard was only at 50 hp. Red had his Lapras out, and Blue had Machamp. I looked down at the ground, and tears started forming in my eyes. I heard Chaizard growl in concern, and I looked up, my eyes meeting with his. I sniffed, and wiped my eyes "You're right Charizard we can't give up now!" I stood up straight and raised my right fist in the air. "You've been with me from the very beginning!" I hugged him, and he hugged back "If I know any Pokemon that can beat anyone, it's you! It's you buddy!" I smiled, and a happy tear fell down my cheek. Suddenly, Charizard started glowing. I back up, and Gladion grabbed me, hugging me. I looked past Charizard, and saw Red, and Blue with their mouths open, and eyes wide. I bright light filled the area, temporarily blinding all of us. I heard a giant roar, and I opened my eyes, and I saw... Charizard... but he was... "Mega evolution?! B-but, that's IMPOSSIBLE!" Red looked amazed.
I looked at the dragon in front of me, ready to battle more. "T-that's impossible! You don't even have a Key Stone OR a Mega Stone!" Red walked up to Charizard, circling the Pokemon. "How is this... what is this..." Red was so confused, and stepped back. "Well, seems like this battle just got A LOT more interesting!" Blue got in a battle stance. "Well, let's see how strong you are now Charizard!" I turned to Gladion and we both nodded. "Charizard! Use Flamethrower on Machamp!" "Silvally, use Crush Claw on Lapras!" I've never seen Gladion get so riled up about a battle... I turned back, and saw Machamp on the ground, fainted. Blue called it back, sighed, "Well, I'm out of Pokemon! It's up to you now Red!" Red balled his hand into a fist. "Don't worry. I got this. Lapras! Use surf on Charizard!" Lapras summoned a giant wave of water, and it crashed into Charizard. I saw Charizard on the ground, but he wasn't fainted. He got up, and let out the loudest, most ear-splitting roar ever. "H-he hung on?!" Red was surprised, and Lapras was just as surprised.
I smiled in determination, and looked at Gladion. "Let's finish this off!" Gladion plugged the Normalium Z into his Z-ring. "Alright!" He did the movement, and the Z-power surrounded Silvally. "BREAKNECK BLITZ!" I stared at Gladion in amazement, and smiled. "Charizard! Help Silvally out with Overheat!" Charizard encased himself in fire, and the ground was covered in fire. He let out the strongest blast of fire out of his mouth, but Lapras had used Pyschic, and it missed Charizard, and hit me. The moves both hit Red's Lapras at the same time as I fell backwards. A blast was let out, a blast so strong that it made me pass out. I fell into Gladion's arms, as I heard Blue and Red yell "(Y/N)!"
--Time skip--
I opened my eyes, and I was lying on a bed in a Pokemon center. My vision was blurry, and my hearing was still messed up, but I was still able to make out the figures of Gladion, Red, Blue, and Nurse Joy on the other side of the room, talking. I was able to hear OK, so I listened as best as I could.
Gladion: How long will she be passed out?! Will she die?!
Nurse Joy: Sir, please calm down. Red, what level was the Pokemon that hit her?
Red: It was my Lapras, it hit her with Psychic, and it's a level 65.
You: G-Gladion...
My voice was raspy, but I wanted my boyfriend. I sat up, rubbing my head. My vision and hearing was back to normal. He ran over, and hugged me "(Y/N)! You're OK!!!" He kissed me all over. I giggled "Gladion! C-cut it out!" I hugged him back, and smiled "How long was I out?" Gladion looked at me with concern in his eyes. "You were out for only about 20 minutes... I was overreacting... heh heh..." Gladion rubbed the back of his head. "Well, I feel fine now!" I hopped up off the bed. I stumbled a little, and Gladion caught me. "Thanks for the help Nurse Joy, thanks for the battle guys, but we're gonna go. I'm gonna take this one home." He picked me up bridal style, carried me out of the Pokemon center.
--Time skip--
He set me down on my bed at home, and sat down next to me. "So, you do know that my birthday's tomorrow... right?" I jumped up, and fell down. Gladion got up and reached a hand out to me. I took it in mine, and he pulled me up. "Calm down (Y/N)... it's not that important." "It IS!!! You're turning 18!!" I stood up tall "I'm gonna go plan you the best birthday ever!" I ran out the door, grabbed my phone, and made some calls.
--MAJOR time skip--
I woke up early so I could get the house ready for Gladion's birthday. I set up the giant cake, put up the streamers, set down my presents, and put some foodstuffs on the table. I sighed an collapsed on the couch. I didn't invite anyone over, since Gladion DID say that he wanted a special day where it was just us. I heard my bedroom door open, and Gladion walked down the stairs. "Morning babe..." I blushed. That was first time he called me babe. He walked up behind me and kissed the back of my neck. He looked around "What's all this?" He walked over to where the streamers were hung. "Oh, just a little something for my boo." I pecked his cheek. He chuckled and saw the cake. "Oh. My. Gosh. How much did this cake cost?!" He circled around it. "About 5,000 Pokedollars." "WHAT?!" Gladion grabbed me by the shoulders. "It's nothing. I've battled so many trainers, I have too much money." I laughed. "Hmm... I'll find some way to repay you." Gladion smirked.
All we really did that day was eat food, watch TV, and be cute together.
