Hokuto, Amaya, and Fumiko sat in the waiting room in silence as they waited for permission to enter.
Amaya lifted her knees up to her chest, resting her forehead upon her knee caps. In response, Fumiko went over to Amaya and sat in the chair next to her. Fumiko then placed her arm around her and kept her eyes on Amaya.
In his own world, Hokuto kept his eyes upon the book he was reading.
"Are you doing okay over there Hokuto?" Fumiko asked.
Hokuto did not reply as he still kept his eyes upon the book. Fumiko kept her eyes upon Hokuto for a couple more seconds before tending back to Amaya.
"Are you the Fujimoto family?" asked a nurse. Fumiko nodded once, taking her eyes off of Amaya. "Ms. Aiko is doing okay. She is alive and she will be awake soon. Visitors are now allowed but family members only."
Amaya and Fumiko stood up and keeping her arm around Amaya, Fumiko glanced at Hokuto and then said to the nurse, "What about him? He isn't an actual family member but he is a very close person to us and he is the only other visitor besides us."
The nurse glanced at Hokuto, who still had his face in the book and then she glanced at Fumiko and then replied, "He can come."
The nurse walked off and Fumiko went over to Hokuto and stroked his hair as she said, "Hey, you're also allowed to come in. We all have permission to visit Aiko now."
Silently, Hokuto closed the book and he stood up, following Fumiko into Aiko's room.
When the door was opened, darkness filled the room as the blinds were closed and Aiko was rested upon her bed. She was connected to a breathing machine with a cold cloth rested upon her forehead.
"It's cold in here." Amaya complained as she shivered.
"Sorry, we actually didn't turn on the heat for Aiko's room due to her actually feeling sweaty all over her body." the nurse replied. "We couldn't even put a blanket on her because she was so sweaty."
"When will she wake up?" Fumiko asked.
"She will soon." the nurse promised.
As the nurse promised, Aiko woke up 5 minutes later. She groaned as her eyes wondered around the room.
"Hey there sweetie." Fumiko greeted quietly. "How you feeling?"
"Where am I?" Aiko asked.
"You're in the hospital." Fumiko replied. "How are you feeling?"
"I feel dizzy and tired. I'm also slightly hot." Aiko replied.
"We can tell." Amaya replied, wrapping her arms around herself.
"Would you like anything?" the nurse asked.
"I would like this breathing thing taken off of me." Aiko quietly replied. "It's making me feel even more dizzy and sick."
Following Aiko's orders, the nurse took the mask off of Aiko and turned off the machine. Once the nurse did that, Aiko sat up and sighed. She then placed her face between her hands as she rubbed her eyes.
"Are you okay?" the nurse asked.
Aiko nodded and then replied, "I just got slightly dizzy."
"Do you need anything else?" the nurse asked. Aiko shook her head. "I'll leave you and the visitors alone then. If you need anything let me know."
