Chapter 11 : Didn't Match

Who would have thought that this is going to be a huge debacle now? Hereby, all the mistakes that he made and all the possibilities of his own, couldn't be judged.

Baekhyun woke up at the sudden ray of sun that hit him on the face. Feeling his body was being wrapped around his waist, he already knew. The consequences of all the mistakes he had made. He did it again.

He stared down deeply at her face. How he wish he could come to a conclusion right now. To be loved and loving two person at the same time just hit him so hard in the chest. How he wish none of this would happen.

The mistakes he just made will cause him to lose both at the same time. Who might know?

Bomi's eyes fluttered open and her beautiful featured just brighten his day.

"Hey...." He smiled. "Good morning."

"Baekhyun..." Bomi stared at him. She glance under the blanket and finally realized what she had done.

Taeyeon massage her forehead. She was so nervous and overwhelmed by all of this that it had become difficult to walk. She shuffled through the room full of people.

One minute, she couldn't stop thinking about Dohyun but after realizing the disappearance of Baekhyun, she reach for her phone and tried to call him.

She opened the door to Dohyun's room. Just watching him lay down on the hospital bed makes her heart shatter into pieces.

"Where the hell is he?!" She bit her lower lip, dialing his number for countless times already. She finally gave up when one of the nurses open the door with a sample of blood in her hands, looking all apologetic at once.

"Morning, Ms. Byun. The doctor wants to see you at his office immediately." She weakly smile at her, leaving all the bad and confusion filled in her head. Just yesterday, after the doctor found out that neither of them have sleep apnea, he had asked her to draw blood for the test.

"Is something wrong with Dohyun?" She asked. The nurse shrugged and open the door wide for her.

"It is best for you to see and talk to him now." She glanced over at Dohyun for the last time before she left him alone again.

Few minutes after her arrival, the doctor lift his head up and shoot her a weak smile. "Please do come in." He said.

"Doctor, is he okay? Please tell me he's alright!" Taeyeon clenched both of her fist and looked at him with concern.

"Did you and your husband adopted him?" He asked. Taeyeon tilted her head, trying to digest the question.

"Adopted?" He breathed out a deep sigh before placing a piece of paper on the desk, in front of her.

"What is this?" Taeyeon asked.

"After we run the blood test of you and your son. It didn't-"

"Negative." She cut him off, reading all the details about it.

"Match." He finished his words. "Yes. It was negative which mean-"

"He's not my son?" She gasped, as a puddle of tears began to form at the corner of her eyes. "How can this happen? Dohyun is my son and... Baekhyun! How can this-"

"I'm sorry. I think you should let your husband know about this. Or... he might know something. Something that he couldn't let it out for a reason." Taeyeon closed her eyes and bit the inside of her cheek.

"I'll talk to him."

"Baekhyun.... what have we done?" Bomi asked.

"I'm sorry." He said. The night was as if they've forgotten the world. Now, they realized that everything's going to be a trouble from now on.

"What about Dohyun?" She asked.

"He's at the hospital. With Taeyeon." Bomi sat up straight and exhaled softly. "I need to see him." Baekhyun jump off from the bed and grabbed his clothes.

A while later, both Baekhyun and Bomi arrived at the hospital. Looking for Taeyeon amidst all of that. But she wasn't there with Dohyun.

"Dohyun..." Bomi bit her upper lip and sprint towards the bed. Baekhyun was wandering around looking for Taeyeon. He scooped his phone out of his pocket and surprised to see a lot of missed calls from Taeyeon and 12 unread messages from last night and this morning.

He open the latest message of this morning and gasped.

I don't know what things you hid from me. But I need to cool my head now. Don't search for me.

"She must have found out about the truth. God damn it!"

Taeyeon found herself at the bar. The sound of his voice kept on repeating inside her head. "He might know something?" Her teeth clenched. The negative sign makes her wonder how this is even possible. After so many years, living with Dohyun... she just found out now.

Taeyeon suddenly remember the moment she woke up after the fall incident. Where Baekhyun appear with the small Dohyun in his arms. She remember she asked him who he was. The long silenced hit her later when he said he was their child.

"Is he lying to me?"
