Like the 1920’s famous Marilyn Monroe said “I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

I Madeline Collin an accused eighteen year old who has been called insane, a wreck and many more things that you can add up to a mad person, has a task to reveal the secret behind my best friend’s death may I say it is no simple math equation, it is twisted than ever.

I walked up the streets to “Steven High” early the next day after my encounter with Mrs. Lyons and Jessica herself. I for one know that I can’t do this alone; I need help and the only person who doesn’t think I’m a wreck or mad is Sean.

I did a little investigation after I left Jessica’s house and I found out that Sean reports to school early as it’s one of his million punishments for well everything he does.

I was walking down the halls crossing the class rooms when my eyes trailed to one of the classrooms where a certain black haired boy was sitting and I knew it was Sean.

I walked in knocking on the door until he spoke up.

“Well look who it is? And at this time of hour?”

“I need your help”

“So you need my help? Hmm I wonder why?”

“It’s about Jessica I saw her”

“Oh really now”

“Yes really and I need your help”

“Now why would I help you after you accused me for being a jerk, now I must say I took that to my heart” he turned around putting his hands over his heart.

“If you don’t want to help me fine! I’ll do it myself I don’t know why I even came here in the first place!” I stormed out of the class anger bubbling out of me.

“Sunshine come back!”

“Sunshine?” I said facing him

“You’re blonde it reminds me of sunshine, big deal”

“You know sunshine has a name it’s called Madeline” I said saying everything slowly making sure he understands every single word I said.

“Yeah, yeah now what help do you need?”

“I thought you said I accused you for being a jerk and that you weren’t going to help me?” I said with an edge in my voice.

“Change of plans” he said shrugging

“Well I saw Jessica and she wants me to find out her killer and I need help you know in tight times” I saw his face hardened but it softened as he noticed the sudden change in the atmosphere.

“You should leave that to the police Madeline this isn’t your fight”

“What happened to sunshine? And not my fight?! It is my fight she told me to help her!”

“It must have been a mind trick” he said brushing the thought off

“It was no mind trick Sean I know what I saw!”

“Maybe you need to see your therapist again”

“See my therapist? SEE MY THERAPIST! HOW DO YOU EVEN KNOW I HAVE A THERAPIST?!”

“I followed you” he said simply like that

“You followed me?! YOU STALKER!”

“And yet here you are asking for my help”

“I have the urge to punch you in the face right now”

“Go ahead have a swing at me” he said putting his face forward. I let out a groan of frustration, turned my back and walked out of the doors of Steven High.
