Finally on the third day on their way to English Mak walking slowly trying to avoid not only Matthew, but class too. Matthew slowed down and fell into step with her. "What's your deal, why are you avoiding me?" he asked "I'm not" she was quick to respond "But you are" he said back in a matter of fact tone. "Nope" she said popping the p. "Fine if your not avoiding me, would you mind showing me a decent restaurant around here? I am new." Just to prove that she wasn't avoiding him even tough she was she agreed for 6 o'clock that evening.
After 5th period Mak went to the cafeteria. She got her food then looked around the cafeteria only to spot, Kyle her best guy friend with his girl of the week. Mak walked up to the table, dropping her tray of food across the table gaining Kyle's attention forcing him to detach his face from the poor girl sitting on his lap. He looked up at her with his light blue eyes, he was attractive Mak gave him that but he was like her brother the grew up together. She didn't like that he constantly had a new girl that fell for the cocky bastard, but she put up with it because she knew the real him away from school he was the sweetest guy she had met. He looked at her for a second then asked "Hey what's up you look flustered?" "Yeah it's that new guy Matthew he, there's just something about him that's different." "your different Mak" he shot back. " Whatever, at least i'm not a man whore." she said with a roll of her eyes. Then the bell rang signalling that lunch was over. Mak stood up and went to her locker grabbing her things for the last three classes. The afternoon passed quickly with nothing major from Matthew just small talk and before she knew it they day was over and she was on her way home.
