A Rose Will Wilt

"I knew this would happen." A familiar voice said in a panic.

Noroi opened her eyes to see a young man staring at her with worried eyes.

"Who are you?" Noroi asked to the boy.

"I'm Skyler, and you?" Skyler asked as if he didn't know.

"I'm Noroi..." Noroi was so confused she could barely make words out.

"I'm your older brother. Quite older actually. I'm 27, I forget your age. Won't you remind me?" 

"I'm- I'm 19. Can you go back to the brother part?" Noroi asked feeling like she was about to pass out, again.

" I'm your brother. I was born before you to the same parents."

"But Kami said that my parents had only been together for three years before they had me. How are you eight years older and still fully related to me?"

"Kami didn't tell you the whole story."

"No, I guess not..."

"Our mother, Faith, was a prostitute. And our father was one of her many customers. But when she became "prego" with me she stopped and tracked down dad...it was harder than she thought...she couldn't raise me on our own so after years of searching she gave up...only to find him after she gave me to Cloud. I was five years old when she gave me up..." He trailed off.

"Whats the Cloud?"

"I'll tell you later..."

Noroi sighed. Everyone was being so secretive and Noroi was almost fed up with it.

"How do you know that she didn't get pregnant from some other guy?" She asked.

"I just know, I get my hair from my dad...and so do you."

"So you're my brother?" Noroi said on the verge of tears. 

"Yes...I can't believe I finally get to meet you. I've always wanted to see you. But I just can't go into town... I'm so glad that you're okay.."

Skyler opened his arms to hug Noroi. Tears streamed down his face. Noroi started to cry and dropped her sword in the ground. It quickly turned back into the dagger it once was. Noroi wrapped her arms around him and he did the same to her.

"I thought I was the only one.." Noroi wept.

"I know....it's okay, I'm here now.." He said back in a calm voice. Skyler was also crying a bit.

"I usually don't cry so you must be something..." He smiled wide at Noroi.

Noroi wiped her eyes and smiled back. She bent over and picked up her now dagger. She looked back up at her brother. His eyes were the same color as hers. Bright green and yet still dark. His hair was white with rainbow colors strikes in it. He had a soft features as well as Noroi. He was wearing a black shirt with a collar that was lavender. He was wearing black pants and dark brown boots that looked heavy. Noroi gathered herself and then looked at Kami.

"It's this all you wanted to show me?" Noroi said grateful if that was it.

"No, we are after something bigger."

"There's so much going on... Whats this "bigger thing"?"

"Your father..."

"What..."

"Yes, and we needed Skyler for that."

"Why did you need me? I mean don't get me wrong, I love this." He waved his arms around Noroi. " but why else did you pull me from Cloud Kami?" Skyler asked.
