I Can Fly?

Chapter 4

Noroi woke up in a bit of a panic. She opened her eyes to a place she didn't recognize. She expected to see her usual wall painted blue in her room. Her bed was harder than she remembered. After a minute or two of looking around Noroi realized where she was and calmed down a bit. She was clearly the first awake. Noroi got to her feet being as quite as she could. She walked to the window and looked out across the forest. Judging by where the sun was in the the sky, it looked to be about 8 AM. Noroi yawned. She turned around to see in the floor Skyler sleeping. In the corner of the room was Kami. Standing fulling but still floating off the ground. Her head was bowed a but due to her sleep. Noroi saw her backpack in the opposite corner from Kami. She really quietly walked over grabbed it then walked back to the window.

 She keeled on the ground then opens the pack. She pulled out the water and food. She also pulled out the sketch book. Noroi leaned against the wall and pulled up her knees to place the sketch book on them to draw. She ate two granola bars then drank half a bottle of water. Then Noroi grabbed a pencil. She started a circle for the top of a head. She was planing on drawing a portrait of Skyler. She drew the jaw and the eyes. Finally when she got to the hair she drew it to the best she could. She then pulled out her colored pencils. Noroi brought just enough for for a rainbow and skin colors, light and dark. She started to color his hair first. It wasn't that hard since it was mostly white but had from his scalp out rainbow strands of hairs. His skin color was slightly tan but still pretty light. Noroi looked at him to make sure he was still sleeping. He was. Noroi looked back down at her drawing. She finished up the coloring and looked more throe through the drawing fixing up any imperfections.

When she finished she smiled admiring the drawing. She looked up to look at Skyler on the floor and noticed, he wasn't there. Noroi looked all over the ground of the suspended cabin floor but he wasn't there. She got up and looked out the window right above her head. There Skyler was floating right outside the window. He was watching Noroi draw. He smiled at Noroi then came back inside. 

"You scared the crap out of me Skyler!" Noroi madly whispered.

"Sorry, I didn't know you could draw. Can I see it again?" Skyler whispered back.

"No..." Noroi whispered holding the book to her chest.

"Why are you whispering..." Kami said loudly.

"I thought you were asleep still." 

Noroi said shoving her drawing supplies in her back pack.

"I don't sleep I power down..." Kami said emotionless.

By this point it was almost 9 AM. Skyler raised his hand above his head. 

"What are you doing?" Noroi said.

"I'm seeing how much time we have in the cabin." He said.

" How? And, there's a time limit?" Noroi asked.

"Yep, and if we're not out by the time it goes, we got a one way ticket to the ground."

"Oh, ouch. How much time do we have?"

Skyler put his hand down. He looked at Noroi with eye that suggests that there wasn't much time left. Noroi put her pack on she walked over to Skyler. 

"I can't fly out...can you help me with that?" Noroi asked.

"Yep," he replied.

Kami left first. She flew to the ground effortlessly. Noroi jumped into Skyler's arms then held on. They went down on the ground and not even one second later was the cabin gone.
