NO!
I sat up with a scream, panting wildly, causing dad to run into my room, kneeling by my bedside.
"What is wrong, Emma... Cool down," He said, stroking my hair, I was trembling over the whole body, the nightmare still lurked, it would be back as soon as dad switched off my light, leaving my room in total darkness.
"It was horrible! Horrible! He was just lifeless! Staring down at me from the ceiling."
Dad took my trembling hand, embracing me. "Shhh... Just a dream.."
Phantoms P.O.V
hoping to give her some warmth, I pressed her freezing, trembling figure against my body, even though I knew quite well that my skin was cold and dead.
"Shhhh.... Just a dream..." I said, but it was not.
The day before we had been walking, and she had stumbled over my torture chamber, where Joseph Buquet's dead body was hanging from a tree, she had screamed, told me she did not want to sleep, I had dismissed her, saying that if she woke she just should call for me. Erik heard her. Always heard her, no matter what. It was the same vow I had made to Christine, but where it frightened her, causing her to run away with that fop! It just calmed Emma down.
Emma's P.O.V
I sobbed into dads shoulder, allowing him to pick me up, together with my blankets, and move me into his room, he placed me on the bed, himself moving down onto the sofa that stood beside his bed.
"Dad?"
"Mhhmm?" He said, tiredly.
"I can sleep on the cough..."
He sat up with an exasperated expression. "No." He said.
"Why not?!"
"No, I said! Do as Erik tells you!!" He roared, making me tremble, he almost never shouted at me, knowing that it would be stupid, and pointless, to argue furthermore with him, this was final.
"Goodnight." I whispered, afraid to make his temper worse.
"Goodnight, Mon Ange." He said, his wrath was over, we then slept in silence, I didn't dare to bring it up again.
My nightmare didn't return that night.
