I woke up with the soft noise of the rain hitting the window outside, I looked to my left where Simon was supposed to be but he wasn't. I sat up and saw all the clothes scattered on the floor making me remember what happened last night. I climbed out of bed and grabbed my underwear and grabbed Simon's tee which was on the floor, luckily it was long for me and covered my bum. I pulled my hair up in a messy bun and made my way downstairs.
I walked into the kitchen where G, JJ and Simon were all sitting.
"Morning" I smiled as I sat beside G. "How is everyone feeling about being back?" I asked as I grabbed Simon's cup and took a sip.
"I'm feeling kind of good, we have a lot of things we are working on but I feel refreshed" he smiled looking positive.
Simon put his fork down and ran his hands over his face. "How are you so positive about this!" He frowned with JJ just shrugging.
"You know Yas and I could help you out to get ready for the game" G suggested. "We could go for a run every other day and could make up some gym routines" she added.
They both nodded and looked at me. "Sure I'm down" I nodded making them both high five each other with G producing an evil laugh.
"I hope you are going to take this seriously! I am planning on your team to win" she said narrowing her eyebrows at the guys, she jumped up and walked out.
I laughed at Simon's face as he hung it down. "She takes this very seriously, I don't think you know what you have got yourself into" I chuckled as I stood up and grabbed a sausage from Simon's plate and grabbed walked out.
............
"Jide keep up!" G shouted to JJ who was trailing behind the three of us.
"I guess it's true that JJ cannot keep up" Simon joked as we stopped to wait for him to catch up.
"Can we have a five minute break, I have a stitch" he complained as he sat down on the bench which was by us.
I rolled my eyes at him. "You mean the same stitch you had two benches ago?" I questioned as I crossed my arms.
It was true, whenever JJ could make an excuse to sit down he would, either he had a stitch or he his shoe laces came undone which made him sit down and redo them really slowly.
"Hey! I told you that I'm not made for running" he argued.
"You do realise that there is running in football right?" Simon laughed making us all laugh apart from JJ who just rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"You do realise there is running in football right?" He mocked, making us all laugh even more.
He stood up with a sigh, I gave him a sympathetic smile and handed him my bottle water as he seemed to have finished his.
"If you manage to do this rest of the run without stopping..." G started then got cut off by Simon.
"I'll buy you an icecream from the van" he said putting on a baby voice which made JJ hit his arm.
"Don't be a dick" I laughed. "Come on let's go" I suggested then started jogging again with the others following.
We managed to get round the rest of the park with no more stops, half way through we split into two groups, a faster run with G and Simon speeding ahead. I stayed behind with J as he was slowing down and I didn't want to leave him alone.
