I lay on my old black and white double bed, that I share with my cat, Jingles. We called him Jingles because when I bought him a bell from school , and he wouldn't let go of it. I carefully stroke his midnight black fur, and he purrs. I pick him up by the scruff of his neck and carry him to the living room. The door bell suddenly rings. I've always found the sound of the doorbell relaxing.
I don't know why.
I open the door to find Daniel, standing there.
I need to tell him.
I need to.
"Hi Daniel." I say awkwardly.
"Hi." He replies.
"Come in." I say gesturing towards the door.
"Oh. So I don't have to ninja chop my way in?" He laughs. I roll my eyes.
"Just come in for goodness sake!"
"Feisty are we?"
"Get. In. NOW!!"I yell.
"Ok, ok. Just don't bite me."
Bite me? Why would I want to bite him?
"Oh, by the way, I'm having a party at Blake's house tonight. Want to come?" He asks. I slowly nod, thinking about my choice. "Daniel? We need to talk." I say
"I know." He replies.
We sit on the couch, his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
"I'm not ready for a relationship." He breathes. My eyes widen.
"Oh, really? I was about to say the same thing! We can still be friends right?"
He nods.
I hug him.
I guess we will be going to the party as friends then. Maybe I could meet som - WAIT! Didn't you just say that you weren't ready for a relationships? *groan* . I swear to god, if that happens again, I will consider therapy for the rest of the year! Maybe not, but I will consider it! Because I hate therapy. But hey, gotta live a little.
