Avery's POV
"I love you."
I look up at him.
Did he really just say that?
"Say it again." I whisper.
"I love you." He says softly.
I shake my head. "That's a lie." I growl. "You're lying!"
He looks shocked. "You said that you don't love me!" I yell.
He looks at me.
His eyes are wide, and his lips are parted.
Pure shock.
"I'm sorry Avery. I'm sorry that you're such a drama queen, and that your family has to deal with you!" He yells, then immediately shakes his head. "I didn't mean that." He says softly, although I can see something brewing behind his beautiful bright emerald green eyes.
Fear.
My eyes widen. "Leave." I demand. He just stands there.
"Leave!" I scream, but he just stands there.
"I'm sorry Avery." He whispers then leaves, closing the door behind him.
I slam my hand into the pillow.
"God, just kill me now!" I scream.
"I'm afraid you've already tried to do that." A familiar voice states.
Max Black.
"What are you doing here?" I say bitterly
"What do you think? I'm here to visit my pet cat." He says sarcastically.
I narrow my eyes.
"There's no reason for you to be here Max." I argue.
"Oh? I can't visit my girlfriend?"
"Ex girlfriend."I correct.
He shakes his head.
"I still love you Ava."
"One. Don't call me that! And two, I don't love you anymore! Get the message, Max!"
"Yeah. Sure you don't."
"I'm capable of moving on! Why do you think I got together with Daniel?" I yell.
He raises an eyebrow.
"You got together with Daniel?"
I nod.
"Do you still love him?" He continues.
"You don't need to know." I say softly.
"Do you!?" He growls.
"Fine!" I say throwing my hands up in the air. "Maybe I still have feelings for him."
A small pause.
"Oh? you do now?" Says a voice. Daniel Logan.
