We walk through the crowd, dodging elbows and feet, trying to get to the dance floor. I Don't know why, but Daniel wanted to go to the dance floor. That's a lie. I do know. What else do you do at a party besides getting drunk and dancing? A hand rests on my head. I turn to see who it was. "Mathew!" I squeal, engulfing him in a hug. Mathew has been my best friend since 1st grade. It was an instant click. I consider Sienna and Gemma my secondary friends."Avery." He smiles. We dance until our heels hurt. I don't drink, but Mathew only had one, thank goodness. I sigh softly. I wouldn't be able to deal with him if he had anymore.
Luckily I don't have to.
He waves bye as I hop into my car with Daniel.
I can see Mathew raise an eyebrow.
I don't think that I can explain to him about this now.
Maybe later.
Daniel and I go home.
"Bye, Avery." He whispers against my ear.
I loop my arms around him.
"Bye."
He leaves, with no other words spoken.
I don't need them.

I slam the door, tired from all the dancing.
I sit on the couch, and rub my heels.
Owwwwww.
It hurts.
I slowly walk to the bathroom, take off my clothes, and force myself to have a shower.
I'm freezing when I walk out.
Not surprised.
I'm only warm, when I put on my onesie, and go to bed under my soft warm blanket.
