We run across the uneven road with our lights off. We all keep at the same pace and rhythm. Suddenly Eric pulls us behind a stand. We all grab our guns and listen closely.

"Erics team has most likely gone to the end of the line. That means that they are anywhere down there. Knowing their impulsive thinking they'll have all went for either defence or offence. That gives us a better chance because find one find them all." Four explains.

Eric looks between us all. He signals for Rita and I to go to the left side whilst the boys take the right side. We all suddenly start sprinting in our given directions. Fours team is huddled around the Ferris wheel which is about 50 meters from their flag. However I see Rea and a transfer guarding the flag. I look straight ahead and see Eric aiming his gun. I follow his actions and see Rita doing the same. I aim at the transfer, breathe in, breathe out, then fire. The dart flies through the air at a incredibly fast speed, and pierces her skin in her upper thigh. She sinks to the ground cradling her leg. In the heat of the moment Rea whips her head around to look at the fallen transfer. As she does so Eric shoots a dart at her which sticks in her upper right arm. She screams out in agony as she rips it out of her skin. Unfortunately her teammates hear her scream and come rushing forward.

Rita and I run past a bunch of crates to avoid Fours team when i suddenly get an idea. I yank on the sleeve of Ritas jumper making her head snap around and give me a 'what' look. I edge closer and grab the handle to one of the crates doors. With little effort I manage to shift the door and open it to make enough room for Rita and I to fit in. We squish our bodies through the small gap and listen to find out where Fours team is. All we can hear is footsteps and constant firing. Rita pulls me back as a few members of fours team run past in the opposite direction. I send her a small nod and get through the small gap. Bringing my gun up I sprint to the carousel and see our team trying to fight them off. Rita and I sprint to the center of the scene with our guns raised. Bullets fly past us making a whizzing nose buzz in my ears. Barely dodging bullents I make my way to the carousel shooting at a few transfers before I can reach it a figure stands in my way.

Shawn

"I think this is gonna hurt." He tells me. Suddenly he takes a few steps back before tumbling to the floor.

"You tell me." Rita states. I let out a low giggle and follow behind her. We race to the center dodging darts until I wrap my hand around the flag. I decide to climb to the top of the carousel to announce victory.

"Wooooooooo!" I scream. Everyone suddenly looks around and starts clapping.

We climb to the top of one of the city's highest skyscraper. When we burst out the transfers are in awe of the view. The dark night lit up by twinkling stars and the moon reflects off of the eroding buildings. The fence glistening in the distance, containing us like wild animals.

At the edge of the building, next to the zip-line, I see Zeke and Shauna setting up the equipment. I decide to go over and sweet talk my way in to going first. Sauntering over I stand with a goofy smile plastered on my face.

"Hey big bro and almost sister."

"Hey Ari." They quickly reply before settling their attention, once again, to the equipment.

"So who's going first."

They look at each other with a knowing look and small smiles.

"I think we're going to offer it to the transfers first this year. Why you asking?" Zeke prolongs.

"Well, this is a dauntless born tradition. So I think it's only fair if you ask them first." I try to persuade.

"Maybe." Shauna states before going back to her work on the harness.

"Listen up you lot. With a little persuasion we have decided to offer the dauntless borns to go first. Anyone want to volunteer." Zeke shouts sending a smirk my way. Before anyone can answer I jump up towards Shauna. She shakes her head and lets out a giggle as she straps me in. Before she can push me off i sprint forward and jump off.

I scream as I feel the air wrap around me in a cold blanket. A sudden dip downwards brings this feeling to erupt deep down inside. The city is beautiful in a birds eye view, the tall building creating a perfect structure. As i swing past all of the buildings I cant help but look beyond the fence. I want to be brave enough to go out there one day. soon I see the massive X painted in red on a brick wall. I reach behind me and pull on the brake.
