"EUNNIE! EUNNIE, WAIT!" HIS voice called after her as she hurried away, cheeks burning, knowing he'd catch up with her soon enough, knowing she didn't actually care.

After a few seconds, she nearly hurtled off her seat as someone grabbed the handles of her wheelchair and held her back, making her suddenly halt.

"Goddamn wheelchair," she cursed.

"Eunnie, are you okay?"

What kind of question was that? "I don't know, am I? Honestly, I confuse myself. I should be okay, Seok Min, but it appears I'm not." She refused to turn and face him, for fear her expression would betray her. "Let me go."

"No."

"Go talk to that girl in the piano room. I'm sure you were having a lot of fun."

"Oh," he said, something like amusement laced in his tone. "So is that what this is about?"

"What do you mean."

"Are you jealous?" She heard footsteps, and then suddenly he was crouching before her, crossing his arms over her knees as he rested his chin on them casually and peered inquisitively up at her. "Because I talk to the dancers?"

"Maybe," she said stubbornly, though it absolutely pained her to admit it. Since when had she become this shallow, this sensitive? Seok Min had the right to talk to any girl he wished. Anywhere he wanted. It wasn't even like she was his girlfriend, or anything – she shouldn't have been so affected by his actions.

And yet here she was, biting her lips as he stared up at her pensively.

Why was she reacting this way? It wasn't her job to –

"Well then, I'll stop." He said it with such casualness that she blinked.

"Sorry, what?"

"I acknowledge the fact that lately, I've been acting... perhaps excessively friendly towards those girls, and I just want to say that I feel nothing towards them. They initiated, and, yes, I fell for it. But since... since it appears you're bothered by it," he concluded, "I'll stop."

His lips spread into a familiar, boyish grin. "I'm really sorry, Eunnie. I'll stop. After all, you're far more important to me than a dozen of those girls."

She was glad her cheeks were already red from anger, since the blush that now rose upon them practically blended in. "What?"

"I'd rather isolate myself from the whole school forever than give up one conversation with you for a day." He straightened up so that they were eye level now, her gray eyes questioning, confused. A feeling rose in her gut, warm and tingly, but she wasn't quite sure what it was.

And unsure why she did so, she rummaged through her bag and pulled out a container of cookies, and asked: "A cookie for your thoughts?"

He tilted his head cheekily, knowing where this was going, and took one from her. "Ask away."

"What are you thinking right now?" she asked, watching as he broke the cookie in two and handed the bigger half to her.

"I'm thinking, Eun Ha, that I love you, that you're worth it, and that you look really, really cute when you blush like that."
