Chapter One:
Ruby's P.O.V:
Getting back in my car I couldn't help feeling pleased with myself as I had thought of the perfect excuse to get Kenzie down to the club tomorrow night. Something she said put the idea in my head.
'She will call if she needs me right?' I replayed her words in my head. All I had to do was get Lia to call Kenzie tomorrow night pretending there was some problem and she would have to go fix it. She would walk in expecting havoc, but all she will find is all her friends yelling surprise. it was perfect. I couldn't wait to see her face when she realizes what we have done.
That night after work I set about calling everyone with their orders for the next day and filling Lia in on my idea, she was more than happy to help out.
Once all the phone calls were made and I had a bite to eat I took a quick shower and headed to bed, I had a busy day tomorrow.
The next morning the first thing I done was call Kenzie.
'Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Kenzie, happy birthday too youuuuuuuuuuuu.' I sang as soon as she answered. she let out a laugh at my off key singing.
'Thanks Hun, great start to the day.' she continued to laugh.
'So are we still on for lunch and then hitting the shops?'
'Of course, but uh can we say 2 instead of 1, just Shane wants to spend the morning with me?'
'Wait Shane?'
'Yeah... oh right I didn't get the chance to tell you yesterday, but Shane and I agreed to be in a real relationship.'
'Aww woop, I am so glad for you, and two is fine, I got a few things to do anyway.'
'Thanks for understanding, so same place but at 2?' she asked to confirm.
'Yeah same place at 2. I'll see you there have a great morning Hun and happy birthday.'
'Thanks, I'll see you later, bye.' and with that we signed off.
Kenzie's P.O.V:
I step out of the shower jut in time to hear the door bell ring through the house, I quickly wrap my bath robe around me and hurry to answer it, where I see Shane standing holding a bouquet of purple flowers.
'Happy Birthday beautiful lady.' He said handing me the flowers before pulling me in for a quick kiss.
'Aww Shane they are beautiful, thank you.' I said with a smile from ear to ear as I step to the side and let him in. then make my way to the kitchen to put the flowers in a vase placing the vase in the centre of my coffee table. 'They really are beautiful,' I smiled kissing him one more time.
'Beautiful flowers for a beautiful woman.'
'Aww you are to sweet.' I laughed.
'You know your real present is yet to come thought right? but as we all agreed not to give you presents until we meet up later.'
'Shane you didn't have to get me anything.'
'I know but I wanted to' He said pulling me close to him. 'Are you naked under that?' He asked tugging at my bath robe. I nodded.
