The next morning Izzy showed up at my door and wanted to talk, so I put Buster on his lead and took him out for a walk. And yes, he did sleep in the bed with me. When we have made it to the dog park right down the road from my house, Buster excitedly hops along beside us as I give him a longer lead to explore.

"Thanks for being so cool and Nash and I by the way." She says and I shrug.

"Why would I not be cool with it? It's not like I'm the one dating him." I answer.

"It's just I know you and that group don't have the best history." She replies.

"Iz, that happened in like middle school. I'm fairly certain we've all moved on and just because I may not like them, doesn't mean you can't. Just as long as I don't see you crying like that again, otherwise I will knock his teeth down his throat and rip his tongue from his mouth." I say and she laughs.

"Yeah, he got the message by the way. He took me out to dinner later on that night." She smiles.

"Bad boys got a soft side huh?" I tease and she elbows me.

"How do you think the others will react?" She asks.

"The guys probably won't care, well Zeke will make a huge deal out of it, being the drama queen he is, but in a good way. I think it's Tessa you have to worry about, but don't worry, I'll handle her." I answer. She nods and I look to her left and see the guy who came to my door a couple of days ago watching me from a far. "Izzy, remember the guy who came to my house the other day?" I ask.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"He's watching us at your 9. Don't panic just keep walking and talking to me." I say and she nods.

"What the hell does this guy want with you?" She asks.

"I don't think it's me he's got the issue with, but until he finds my dad, it's me whose going to be his target." I answer.

"Can't you just call your dad?" She asks.

"No, he's undercover. He doesn't have his personal mobile on him." I inform her.

"Can't you call the police?" She asks.

"And what have patrolman follow my every move, yeah no thanks, I'd rather take on the mafia alone." I comment.

"What is it with you and not accepting help when you need it?" She asks.

"Because I don't need it. Besides, I have Buster now, don't I?!" I exclaim as he runs back to me with the tennis ball. I clip his lead on and we start walking out of the park. I grab my phone and pull out the camera as if Izzy and I are taking a selfie, but I'm actually checking to see if he's following us, which he is. "He's following us." I whisper to Izzy and I can tell she's starting to freak out. Out of nowhere I walk into someone and see Sergeant Walker, my dad's boss and his son and grandson.

"Hi Channing." Walker comments.

"Hi Sergeant Walker. Hey Justin and this must be Tommy?" I ask and Walker nods.

"Whose your little friend?" Walker asks.

"Buster. I just got him yesterday. Mum and dad have been gone a lot, since dad's undercover and mum has been working late shifts and all nighters, thought it would be nice to have a pal to come home to. They don't know yet, so if we could keep this under wraps." I say and Walker laughs.

"Your secret is safe with us. You girls OK, you looked pretty startled?" Walker asks and before I can say anything Izzy panics.

"Some guy came to Channing's house looking for Detective Lewis and when Channing wouldn't answer he tried to break into the house and now he's following her!" She exclaims and I roll my eyes. Walker immediately looks at me with concern.

"Why didn't you come to us Channing?" He asks.

"I can take care of myself. Besides, he's not going to grab me in a public place and I'm not having patrolman sitting outside my house 24/7." I comment.

"Well then I can have Detective Ramirez come and stay with you until we have handled the situation. No arguing. Do you have a picture?" He asks and I nod, getting the picture we took and zooming in on the guy. "You took this just now?" He asks.

"5 minutes ago, to see if he was still follow us, which he was." I answer.

"Justin, could you please make sure Channing's friend gets home OK, while I take Channing." Walker says and Buster barks. "And Buster." Walker adds and Justin nods as I say goodbye to Izzy. I take off with Walker and we make conversation on the way home, mainly about how the guy approached me and what he said.

We finally make it back to my house, 15 minutes later and I unlock the door letting him inside. I offer him something to eat and drink and we make our way to the garden. I watch as he makes phone calls to Ramirez and other team members and I let him known Ramirez can walk straight in. After 20 minutes she arrives and gives me a hug and Walker leaves.

"So, your being stalked by some weird guy who wants your dad huh?" She asks and I nod.

"Apparently." I respond. "Do you know anything that's happening with dad's undercover?" I ask.

"I know he's getting closer to busting the guy, but it'll probably take another week or so. I know he misses you as well." She says and I scoff.

"Yeah OK. If he's not working, he's sleeping the same with my mother." I say taking a sip of my drink.

"Channing he talks about you all the time. And when I manage to call him when he is undercover, the first thing he asks me is if you're OK. Not if we have any new leads, nothing. He cares more than you think he does." She comments.

"I think him and mum are going to divorce soon." I say out of the blue.

"What makes you say that?" She asks.

"They don't stop arguing and dad's been sleeping on the sofa for the past few weeks, which only means one thing. You don't have to be a Detective to know there is only one outcome to that." I respond.

"How would you feel about that?" She asks and I shrug.

""I have no idea."
