Jacob POV
"Jacob, what is up with you? You're better than this!" my trainer Jason yells at me. I punch the punching bag harder and harder, to the point where my knuckles are bleeding. Sweat drips down my forehead as I keep punching, training my self for up coming matches.
"Take a break, you're working yourself up," Jason tosses the towel at me. I catch it and wipe off the sweat that's dripping down my face. I head over to the bench and sit down, pouring water down my throat.
Jason walks over to me and sits down.
"i got in a fight," I bluntly say. he looks over at me and grins, shaking his head.
"with who?" he asks, laying his elbows down on his knees.
"a drunk kid at a party. I was hanging out with his ex that he cheated on. I guess he got pissed and tried to punch me."
"go on," he tells.
"i stepped to the side so when he came towards me during his first punch, he ran into a table," I smile and laugh a bit at the end. Jason on the other hand is laughing his ass off.
"did you throw a punch?" he asks after his laughing fit is over.
"he tried to punch my face but I grabbed his hand and then hit him square in the jaw," I answer and shrug.
"tell me about this girl," he suggests.
"her name is adeline. she dated the guy who tried to punch me. the guys name is Austin and hes a triplet. he cheated on adeline with her best friend. I've been hanging out with her trying to help her feel better. I slept over at her house last night." Jason shaked his head back and forth and sighs.
"you can't do that shit Jacob," he shakes his head.
"why the fuck not? she needed someone to be there for her," I raise my voice.
"Jacob stop. you cant get too over attached to this girl. do you even know how old she is? does she know about what you do?" Jason questions. I grip my hair between my fingers in frustration.
"she's a senior. and she does not know," I answer truthfully.
"do you know what you're getting yourself into!?" he yells.
"can we just drop it!?" I yell back. we both get quiet until one of us speaks.
"just, when is my next fight?" I ask, lowering my voice.
"tomorrow. so I suggest you go home and get rest." he suggests. I get up and grab my bag and shirt, then throwing my towel around my shoulder. I take more gulps of my water as I walk out of the place and into the car.
I unlock my car and throw everything in the trunk, heading to the drivers seat and grabbing my phone out the cup holders.
I don't bring my phone inside while im training because it would be too much of a distraction. My fights mean the world to me and they are my main focus. I do have a social life, don't get me wrong. But I go by a different name when I fight for a reason.
Grabbing my phone, I look through my notifications. There are only a couple because people are at school currently. I just set my phone down and drive back to my house, resting for tomorrow.

adeline pov
"hi, im jenna," a girl comes up to me and sits. we got new assigned seats in class and I was sitting next to jenna. She seemed like a nice girl and looked about my height.
"hey," I smile. "im adeline"
"nice to meet you adeline," she returns my smile. I didn't exactly have friends right now, considering I just lost my best friend. I mean, I might as well try to get a friend.
"so, um how are you?" I ask. but it doesn't help that I suck at starting conversations.
"i'm so stressed. just with school and stuff, ya know?" she answers.
"i feel ya," I laugh.
"aren't you Austin's ex? if you don't want to talk about it you don't have to-"
I cut her off, " yea, I am"
"i'm so sorry. he was always a dick to everyone," she blurts out.
"really? I never knew that," I truthfully say. was he really a dick to people and I never knew?
"yea. he shoved me out of his way one time. also I got dirty looks from him." im glad she's telling me all of this.
"wow. well, thank you for telling me. I never knew he acted like this," I thank.
"anytime girl! I feel that we're going to be great friends. would you like to go with me somewhere tomorrow?" she asks.
"sure! where are we going?"
"i was wondering if I could take you to this fight. it's underground and it's so fun. trust me, you'll love it," she pleads.
"who's fighting?"
"only the best. Jax Ace and Axel Boris." she replies.
"what makes them the best?" I ask. this has to just be an opinion, right?
"Jax Ace has never lost a fight. He's unbeatable. Rumor has it, he lives close to the highschool. Axel Boris has only lost a few, but not much. Jax Ace won championships last year. Axel was in the semi finals, but lost that fight. Just to let you know, they both have great abs. you won't want to miss it," she informs me and she gets out her papers.
"i'll think about it. but I do need to get out of the house"
"just let me know at the end of class" she winks.
